Today’s episode begins with Mahid confronting everyone about his mother’s past. He says that all these years they have shared stories about what his mother did but no one ever spoke about what she went through. He declares that now he will find out the truth himself.
Husna complains that Gazal has ruined the family’s reputation. Mahid warns Husna to stay quiet making it clear that he will not tolerate a single word against his mother. He questions Wasim asking why he said his mother used to talk on the phone for hours. He challenges their assumptions saying has anyone ever thought that she might have been trying to find a job instead of doing something wrong?
Mahid questions their so-called proof and asks why everyone believed that his mother wanted to run away. Wasim argues that no woman talks to another man for so long unless she plans to run away and reminds him about the packed bag found near the window.
Mahid counters this by saying that packing a bag does not mean she wanted to run away with a lover. He suggests other possibilities maybe she wanted to leave for a few days search for work or escape a situation in the house.
He emotionally reveals that everyone told him stories and he blindly believed them. Because of that he hated his own mother for years thinking she was irresponsible and guilty. But now he realizes that she was none of those things. He says she loved him deeply and never wanted to leave him and her last letter clearly expressed that love.
Husna and Wasim are left shocked. Meanwhile Wasim silently thinks that Mahid is searching for the same letter that he once found.
Kausar Shocked By Mahid’s Engagement News.
Meanwhile Barkat calls Kausar and tells her that she is unwell but still has to complete an important order. She reveals that it is for Nazima’s engagement.
Kausar is shocked and asks who Nazima is getting engaged to. Barkat informs her that Nazima is getting engaged to Mahid. She expresses confusion saying that Mahid and Seher’s divorce hasn’t even happened yet and now he is planning another engagement.
Barkat says she didn’t want to take this order but since it is from a powerful family refusing it could cause major losses. Kausar assures her that she is coming to help complete the order.
Seher Reacts to the Engagement News
Kausar meets Seher and asks her why she didn’t inform her about Mahid and Nazima’s engagement. Seher replies emotionally that whether she speaks or stays silent both bring her pain. Kausar tells her to stay happy and move forward in life but Seher says she is trying to keep herself busy with her books.
Kausar wonders if Mahid is doing this engagement just to stay away from Seher as he had promised. She then convinces herself that maybe Mahid truly loves Nazima and considers Seher just a past chapter.
Safia and Parvez Plan Their Next Move
On the other hand Safia talks to Parvez who informs her that he has found the hospital guard and is going to meet him to get information about Muneera.
He instructs Safia to keep an eye on Kausar calling her very smart. Safia agrees and starts following Kausar secretly.
Mahid Demands Answers
Mahid again defends his mother saying she loved him too much to ever leave him alone. Usman explains that after Mahid’s father’s death Gazala was heartbroken and unable to handle the grief which they thought she may have led to her suicide.
Mahid refuses to accept this explanation and accuses them of creating stories. Usman admits that they might have misunderstood Gazala. He reveals that she was planning to move to Aligarh for her son’s better future which was true. However he raises an important question if that was the truth why did she suddenly stop in Lucknow and end up at the lighthouse? He questions she would take such a drastic step.
Mahid declares that he will now find answers to the questions no one ever asked before.
Seher Tries to Stop the Engagement
Seher arrives and says Mahid seems too busy searching for answers and might not have time for his engagement. She secretly thinks that if the engagement is stopped the planned attack on Mahid might also fail giving her more time to uncover the truth.
Mahid firmly tells her that the engagement will not stop and asks her to leave. Usman intervenes saying that he had called Seher and wants to discuss something important with both of them.
Kausar Avoids Fareed
At the workshop women praise Kausar for completing work so efficiently in such a short time. Safia continues to secretly observe her.
Fareed arrives to talk to Kausar but she initially refuses saying she doesn’t want to hear any gossip about them. Eventually she agrees to go with him for a brief conversation while Safia fails to notice them leaving.
Usman Opposes the Engagement Decision
Usman confronts Mahid for deciding on the engagement without consulting him. He clearly states that this is not advice but an order Mahid will not get engaged to Nazima.
Seher supports Usman saying he is right and Mahid should obey him. Mahid questions Seher reminding her how she earlier claimed she didn’t even want to see his face yet she happily gave permission for the engagement and even agreed to attend it.
Seher responds that she gave permission before but has now taken it back it is her choice. Mahid angrily says that his life is not controlled by her decisions and that invitations have already been sent so the engagement will happen. Seher suggests apologizing to everyone but Mahid refuses insisting that the engagement is happening by his own will.
Usman argues that if Nazima were truly better for him he would have chosen her earlier. He reminds Mahid that he chose Seher because she was the right partner for him. He explains how Seher brought life back into Mahid after Gazala’s death and helped him become himself again.
Mahid reacts angrily and tells Usman not to bring his mother into this. He says Gazala living her life in obedience and says he will not become anyone’s slave. He declares that times have changed and decisions must change too.
Finally Mahid firmly announces that his engagement with Nazima will take place this very evening. Nazima overhears this.
Seher Searches for Evidence
Seher becomes restless after failing to stop the engagement. She decides to take action and looks for another way.
She notices a man carrying supplies into the kitchen and decides to check them hoping to find evidence. She worries that if Mahid learns the truth about Gazala today everything might fall apart and she might not be able to handle the consequences.
Meanwhile Mahid learns that Seher is checking the kitchen supplies and assumes she is planning something. He starts following her. Seher sees him and hides. Mahid calls out to her asking her to stop playing hide and seek and come out as he knows she is there.
Seher thinks that if she comes out Mahid will question her endlessly. Mahid spots her dupatta but before he can catch her Seher escapes leaving her dupatta behind.
While running she collides with a woman and the woman’s phone falls. Seher notices a message on the phone stating The money has been sent the work must be done. Seher is shocked
Precap: With Tahir’s help Seher hides inside a suitcase and asks him to take it inside Niyazi Manzil. Tahir drags the suitcase in but Mahid stops him and demands that the suitcase be opened.
