Farhan Akhtar’s upcoming war movie, ‘120 Bahadur,’ is making history even before its worldwide release on November 21st. In a landmark decision, the film is set to have a special, country-wide screening just for the defence community across India’s numerous defence theatres. This is the first time any movie has been rolled out this way, showcasing a powerful commitment to those who serve the nation.

This special release means ‘120 Bahadur’ will screen in over 800 cinema halls located inside military cantonments and bases. These halls are specifically meant for soldiers and their families. Many of these families live in very remote areas and don’t usually have easy access to watch new films on the big screen.

The entire initiative is being led by a company called PictureTime, which works with a mobile cinema network. Their goal is simple but huge: to bring the joy of a world-class movie experience directly to the doorstep of the armed forces community. This pioneering step aims to close the long-standing gap between the Indian entertainment world and the forces that guard the country.

The movie itself, produced by Excel Entertainment and Trigger Happy Studios, is a fitting tribute. ‘120 Bahadur’ is based on the incredibly brave, true story of the Battle of Rezang La during the 1962 war. It recounts the story of 120 Indian soldiers who fought with immense courage against overwhelming odds. Farhan Akhtar plays the role of Major Shaitan Singh Bhati, the heroic leader of the 13 Kumaon Regiment.

The filmmakers believe this film will deeply connect with the forces because it honors their spirit, courage, and immense sacrifice. Getting to watch this heroic tale on the big screen with their families is seen as a special way to say thank you to the servicemen and women of India.

The film’s trailer provides a glimpse into the raw emotions and fierce determination of these soldiers, making the early release in defence theatres a truly meaningful gesture.

On the work front, Farhan will next be directing Ranveer Singh’s Don 3. Actress Kriti Sanon will be seen playing the female lead opposite Ranveer in the film. This will be their first film together. To know such latest updates, stay tuned to tellyboosters.com Thank you!
