She shared that while recovering from the procedure, serious misunderstandings arose as her brother came under the heavy influence of his wife, while her mother subsequently sided with her brother. According to the actress, on the fifth day following her surgery, hostile circumstances were deliberately created within the household. Knowing that she was a woman driven by intense self-respect, her family pushed her to a point where she felt she had no choice but to pack her belongings and walk out of her own home at eleven o’clock at night, with her mother making no effort to stop her from leaving. She emotionally reflected on how she felt reduced to a mere doormat in her own household despite making endless sacrifices for her loved ones over the years.
The severe fallout permanently changed her living arrangements and severed her emotional ties with her family. Shilpa revealed that she has essentially left Mumbai and made Karjat her primary home, choosing to stay in hotels or shelter facilities whenever she visits the city for work. Whenever acquaintances ask why she stays in hotels instead of her residence, she makes up excuses about host privacy rather than disclosing the painful truth. She declared that she has decided never to speak with her family members again and has even drafted a formal will legally disinheriting them from any claim to her estate. Addressing her motivation for participating in the show, Shilpa clarified that she is not seeking public sympathy, but rather intends to use her earnings to build a dedicated shelter home for others in need. She noted that her past heartbreak has made her emotionally detached from relationships, but she remains firm in owning her truth regardless of public opinion.
