Veteran Bollywood filmmaker Rakesh Roshan and his wife Pramila Roshan (also known as Pinkie Roshan) have finalized a major real estate transaction by leasing out their residential apartment in Mumbai’s prestigious Juhu-Vile Parle Development (JVPD) Scheme. According to property registration documents accessed via real estate analytics platform CRE Matrix, the three-year lease agreement was registered on August 24, 2026, with the license period commencing from August 15, 2026. The property, located on the second floor of the Hiralaya Building on N.S. Road in JVPD, has been leased to tenant Asavari Rajopadhye. Over the entire three-year tenure, the flat is expected to yield a cumulative rental income of approximately ₹1.89 crore for the celebrity couple.
The financial terms of the agreement detail a starting monthly rent of ₹5 lakh for the first year, generating an annual income of ₹60 lakh. The contract includes a standard 5 percent annual rent escalation, which will raise the monthly payment to ₹5.25 lakh in the second year (₹63 lakh annually) and further to ₹5.51 lakh per month in the third year (₹66.15 lakh annually). Additionally, the deal involves a security deposit of ₹21.75 lakh paid by the tenant. Known as one of Mumbai’s most affluent residential neighborhoods housing numerous film personalities and industrialists, the JVPD area continues to command premium market rates. This rental deal adds to the Roshan family’s active real estate portfolio, which has seen notable commercial property acquisitions and land deals across Mumbai and Pune over recent months.
