The highly anticipated dark action crime thriller movie Haiwaan starring Akshay Kumar and Saif Ali Khan has officially cleared its sensor board checks and earned a UA 16+ certificate from the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC).
The official clearance comes just a few days ahead of its scheduled nationwide theatrical release, clearing all major administrative hurdles before bringing this high-octane project to moviegoers across the country.
Directed by veteran filmmaker Priyadarshan, the movie holds massive hype because it reunites Akshay Kumar with Priyadarshan after hit cult classics like Hera Pheri, Garam Masala, and Bhool Bhulaiyaa, while also bringing Akshay Kumar and Saif Ali Khan back together after eighteen years since their last major collaboration in Tashan.
Fans have been eagerly awaiting this project ever since its initial announcement, as the combination of veteran stars and an acclaimed filmmaker promises a powerful cinematic experience packed with sharp storytelling and engaging screen presence. In this film, Saif Ali Khan plays the role of Shyam, a visually impaired caretaker framed for a murder, while Akshay Kumar steps into a intense and violent role as the main antagonist Parshuram.
The CBFC certification process has officially confirmed the final theatrical runtime of the movie, which is locked at 164 minutes and 7 seconds, translating to roughly 2 hours, 44 minutes, and 7 seconds of total screen duration. This expansive length suggests that the narrative will dive deep into a detailed storyline, allowing ample time for the director to establish suspense, develop character arcs, build high-stakes conflict, and deliver well-paced twists and turns.
Alongside the leading duo, the film features a massive ensemble cast that brings significant depth to the story, including experienced actors like Boman Irani, Shriya Pilgaonkar, Saiyami Kher, Sharib Hashmi, Rajpal Yadav, Rajesh Sharma, and Manoj Joshi. Produced by Venkat K. Narayana and Shailaja Desai Fenn under KVN Productions and Thespian Films, the movie is all set to hit cinemas on September 11, 2026.
