Popular actor Rajesh Sharma has officially set the record straight regarding his recent health scare, putting an end to widespread rumors that he was hospitalized due to a poisonous insect bite on the set of Prabhas’ highly anticipated movie Fauzi.

Addressing the ongoing speculation, the veteran artist confirmed that the reports were completely unfounded and clarified that nothing untoward occurred during the film shoot in Hyderabad. Explaining the actual cause of his medical emergency, Rajesh Sharma shared that he had been managing a long-standing skin condition on his right leg, which gradually developed into a severe infection.

The situation escalated after he returned home to Kolkata, largely triggered by a spike in his diabetes levels that he initially failed to monitor closely. The combination of high blood sugar and the existing skin issue caused his health to decline rapidly after his travel, requiring immediate hospital care and intensive treatment.

The actor also addressed the initial confusion surrounding his illness, which gained traction after a post was shared by his close friend Sudipa Chatterjee claiming he was bitten by a bug or spider near the sets.

Sharma defended her intent, explaining that she acted purely out of care and concern for his well-being but had been misinformed about the actual sequence of events. Assuring fans about his well-being, the seasoned actor stated that his treatment is now complete, his recovery is progressing steadily, and he expects to return to active filming schedules within a week.
