Today’s episode begins with Rajji practising for the court hearing. The next morning at court the judge asks Mahadev where his lawyer is. He says the court’s time is being wasted and asks how long they have to wait.
Uttam comments their lawyer has run away. Yash and Mogra laugh at their family.
Rajji Makes Her Entry in Court
Rajji comes to court leaving Mogra shocked and Uttam surprised. Rajji tells the judge she will represent Dheeraj, Ketan and Mahadev in court. Rajji accidentally gives a blank paper to the judge.
The judge asks if she has come to fight the case without any preparation. He says an ordinary person cannot simply appear in court and fight someone’s case without completing the required formalities.
Rajji gives the paper again. Uttam says he does not know if Rajji will be able to prove Mahadev innocent or not but he knows she has proved his point that anyone can become a lawyer. The judge asks Uttam to start the proceedings.
Uttam Grills Mahadev
Uttam says it is an open-and-shut case. He says he wants to ask Mahadev some questions. Uttam asks Mahadev if he can stand there and answer a few questions. He asks if Mahadev will not beat him.
He asks how Ashish and Mogra’s marriage happened. Mahadev says they met in a Swayamvar. He says Ashish and Mogra liked each other so their relationship moved forward.
Uttam asks if Mahadev was happy with Mogra and if the family was happy with the marriage. He also asks if Ashish was happy. Mahadev says the marriage happened happily.
Uttam asks if the marriage happened happily then why was Mahadev torturing Mogra for dowry?
Rajji Objects to Uttam
Uttam then asks about Ketan and Dheeraj’s marriages. Rajji objects saying that Ketan and Dheeraj’s marriages have no connection to this case. Uttam asks how she knows when he has not even built his case yet.
He taunts her by watching online she does not learn when to raise an objection. He tells her to learn first. Mahadev says Ketan and Dheeraj got married by their own choice. Uttam asks if Mahadev was happy with those marriages
Mahadev says both his sons got married against his wishes so he was not happy with those marriages at that time. Uttam says Mahadev was upset because he could not demand dowry from his daughters-in-law. Rajji again objects.
Uttam Targets Rajji and Narmada
Uttam says he is only presenting facts and tells Rajji to wait before raising an objection. Uttam says Narmada and Rajji cannot accept the fact that Mahadev was happy with Mogra’s marriage.
He accuses them of creating hatred in Mogra’s life. He says they made life difficult for Mogra in the house and later forced her to leave the house. Uttam says Lajwanti and Raju should be called into the witness box.
Rajji objects and says Raju and Lajwanti are Mogra’s parents so their statements will be biased and will not be admissible.
Uttam Mocks Rajji
Uttam says a girl who is suffering in her in-laws house will naturally talk to her parents. He says the Supreme Court has also accepted this point. He mocks Rajji and says perhaps she has not studied this.
He says Rajji seems to think a debate is going on. Raju and Lajwanti come into the witness box. Uttam asks them how Mahadev and his family seemed to them. Lajwanti says in the beginning Mahadev seemed like a simple and kind-hearted person.
Uttam asks what discussion took place about the wedding expenses after the marriage was fixed. Lajwanti says since they were the girl’s family they were going to bear the wedding expenses but Mahadev said they should share the expenses.
Lajwanti Accuses Mahadev
Uttam asks the judge to note this point. He says the engagement was done from Mahadev’s side and the wedding expenses were Lajwanti’s responsibility.
Lajwanti puts on an emotional and says she did not know all this was Mahadev’s drama. She says that later after seeing his true colours he started torturing Mogra. Raju says whatever pain and suffering Mogra faced was because of Narmada and Rajji.
He says both of them kept filling Vidya’s mind against Mogra. Dheeraj says that all of this is a lie. Uttam tells Dheeraj he is an accused and cannot speak in between. He asks him to maintain the dignity of the court.
Rajji Challenges Uttam’s Claims
Uttam asks Rajji if she wants to cross-examine them and says she can do so. Rajji says Uttam has presented lies instead of facts and she can prove it.
Uttam makes fun of her and says she has not come after properly memorising everything which is why she has brought notes. The judge tells Uttam he is a senior lawyer and should not speak like this.
Rajji says Ashish and Mogra’s marriage was based on a lie.
Rajji Exposes Mogra’s Family
Rajji says Raju and Lajwanti lied about their financial status to get the marriage fixed. She asks Lajwanti and Raju what they told Mahadev when they first met him.
She says they told Mahadev Raju had a business and several bungalows. But in reality they lived in a small slum and they had rented a bungalow only to show a higher financial status.
Rajji asks if they want to give evidence in court that Raju had told them about his financial status. She presents the video as evidence. Uttam objects. Rajji asks if he can prove that the video is fake.
Uttam Challenges Rajji’s Evidence
Uttam says this case is under Sections 85 and 86, while Rajji is talking about evidence under another section. He says if she wanted to make a fraud case against Mogra and her family she should have done that earlier.
He also says Rajji recorded Raju’s video without his permission so they can file a case against her for that. Uttam asks if Mahadev had already told Raju and Lajwanti that a case had been filed against him and he had been in lockup.
Rajji says the case was fake. He says Rajji can file a fraud case against Mogra and her family but this is not a crime. He says this case is about dowry.
Uttam Questions Vidya
Uttam says Ashish had also gone to lockup yet Raju and Lajwanti agreed to Mogra’s marriage with Ashish at Mahadev’s request. Uttam says he wants to bring Vidya’s statement into the witness stand.
He asks Vidya Lajwanti had told women in her house are treated badly. He says daughters-in-law daughters and wives were not respected in the house. He asks if Vidya believed this after watching the video.
Vidya says she trusted Rajji and Narmada and she still does. She says after watching the video she went to meet Lajwanti. However Lajwanti misled her by creating a false story and confused her.
Vidya says after Lajwanti explained everything about the video her doubt was cleared. Uttam says she had made the video to keep an eye on Rajji and Narmada and their family.
Precap: Rajji says whatever Uttam said in court is a false story created to gain sympathy. She says Mogra and her family have been manipulating Mahadev’s family from the beginning. She says the main point is the ten-lakh loan. Uttam is shocked.
