Actor Ravie Dubey, who is stepping into the iconic role of Lakshman in director Nitesh Tiwari’s highly anticipated cinematic adaptation of Ramayana, has strongly backed co-star Ranbir Kapoor amid ongoing online debates surrounding his casting as Lord Ram.
Speaking candidly about sharing screen space with the Bollywood superstar, Ravie described Ranbir as simply the finest talent in the industry today, emphasizing that his dedication on set goes far beyond his massive star power. While social media discussions have been divided since the project was announced, Ravie explained that watching Ranbir’s intense preparation firsthand completely put to rest any doubts about his suitability for such a revered and sacred character.
Reflecting on their working relationship during the filming process, Ravie praised the actor’s disciplined work ethic, quiet sincerity, and remarkably humble nature around the entire cast and crew.
He shared that despite being a top-tier star, Ranbir carries no weight of stardom when he steps onto the set, bringing an incredible level of warmth, inclusivity, and focus to every scene.
Ravie further revealed that the entire team, including Ranbir, made significant lifestyle changes and personal sacrifices to stay true to the sanctity of their roles, treating the movie less like a standard film project and more like a spiritual journey or a sacred yagya.
Expressing deep gratitude for being part of such a grand canvas alongside an ensemble cast featuring Sai Pallavi as Sita and Yash as Ravana, Ravie noted that working on this epic has been a deeply humbling experience.
He emphasized that everyone involved in the production is approaching the story with a sense of surrender and reverence, aiming to bring glory to the timeless narrative rather than focusing on personal ambition.
Directed by Nitesh Tiwari and backed by producer Namit Malhotra, the two-part mythological saga remains one of the biggest cinematic ventures in Indian cinema history.
