Versatile actress Sheeba Chaddha recently shared her thoughts on stepping into the crucial role of Manthara in Nitesh Tiwari’s highly anticipated mythological epic Ramayana Part 1. Sharing screen space alongside Ranbir Kapoor, who plays Lord Ram, the seasoned performer discussed her experience working on a project of such immense scale and vision.
While discussing her perspective on taking on one of Indian mythology’s most pivotal characters, Sheeba expressed that the vast expectations from audiences do not intimidate her. Instead, she remains completely focused on her craft, stating that she has done her duty as an actor and feels confident about the work put into the film.
The actress revealed that the sheer grand scale of the film was one of the key factors that drew her to the project in the first place. Working under the guidance of acclaimed director Nitesh Tiwari has been a rewarding journey, with Sheeba praising his clear creative direction and actor-friendly environment on set.
Rather than viewing Manthara through a traditional single-dimensional lens of a villain, she has approached the character with emotional depth, portraying her protective nature toward Queen Kaikeyi. This fresh perspective is expected to bring a fascinating dynamic to the screen alongside a star-studded cast that includes Sai Pallavi as Sita and Yash as Ravana.
Despite being part of such a massive cinematic event, Sheeba keeps a grounded mindset regarding how major roles impact her career trajectory.
She emphasized that while the visibility is wonderful, she prefers to take each day as it comes without worrying about future outcomes. With her impressive track record across films and digital projects, her portrayal of Manthara is shaping up to be one of the stand-out performances in this multi-part magnum opus.
Fans are eagerly looking forward to seeing her dramatic presence add intense power to the narrative when the grand spectacle hits the silver screen.
