Karishma Tanna is an actress who believes in growing with every role she plays. From television to Bollywood and OTT she has always tried to do something different and meaningful. With projects like Scoop and Hush Hush she has proved that strong acting matters more than big flashy roles.
Karishma started her career with Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi in 2001. After that she appeared in many popular shows like Kahi Toh Milenge, Kkoi Dil Mein Hai, and also played a negative role in Ek Ladki Anjaani Si. After becoming a well-known TV face she stepped into Bollywood with Dosti: Friends Forever in 2005 while still doing several successful reality and fiction shows like Comedy Circus, Zara Nachke Dikha, Bigg Boss 8 and Nach Baliye 7.
In 2018 Karishma impressed audiences with her role in Sanju where she acted alongside Ranbir Kapoor and Vicky Kaushal. In 2022 she was seen in Hush Hush where she played a police officer. This role helped her break out of the glamorous image and show a serious powerful side of her acting.
Her biggest breakthrough came in 2023 with Hansal Mehta’s Scoop. She played Jagruti Pathak a journalist trapped in a shocking crime case. Karishma’s performance received a lot of love and respect winning her major awards like the Critics Best Actress at Dadasaheb Phalke International Film Festival Awards 2024 and Best Lead Actress at the Asia Contents Awards & Global OTT Awards 2023 in Busan.
Now Karishma is preparing for her next exciting project Mom 2 directed by Girish Kohli. Known for choosing bold and challenging roles she is once again ready to deliver something special.
