Early Life
Born on 19 September 1987 in Dehradun Uttarakhand.Namik comes from a highly educated and service–oriented family. His father is a retired IAS officer his mother is a lawyer and human rights activist and his elder sister practices as a High Court lawyer in Chandigarh. Growing up in a supportive yet disciplined environment played a significant role in shaping his personality and work ethic.
Education
He completed his schooling in Dehradun and later attended the prestigious Woodstock School Mussoorie. For higher education Namik went abroad to the Lewis & Clark College Oregon USA where he majored in Economics and Mathematics reflecting his strong academic foundation.
Namik began his professional life as a journalist with NDTV 24×7.Although he enjoyed reporting the erratic schedule led him to explore other creative avenues. Soon he ventured into modeling and ultimately acting became his true calling allowing him to combine his love for storytelling with performance.
Television Debut
Namik made his acting debut in 2015 with Qubool Hai portraying Ahsaan marking his first appearance on television. His breakthrough role came in 2016 with Ek Duje Ke Vaaste where he played Shravan Malhotra opposite Nikita Dutta earning a Gold Award nomination for Best Debut (Male). In the same year he also hosted the travel-based show Befikre Belgium Ke.
Namik expanded his portfolio with Bindass web series The Trip (2016–2017) as Adil Malik opposite Lisa Haydon followed by hosting Aye Zindagi in 2017.
He gained significant recognition with Ek Deewaana Tha (2017–2018) where he portrayed Shiv Kapoor and later Krish Khanna earning a Gold Award nomination for Best Onscreen Jodi with Donal Bisht. He then appeared in Kavach – Maha Shivratri (2019) as Angad Jindal and in Kasautii Zindagii Kay (2020) as Viraj Bharadwaj. After a brief break he returned with Lag Ja Gale (2023) in the lead role of Shiv / Aniket Dhoopar.
In 2025 he joined Kumkum Bhagya as Shivansh Randhawa opposite Pranali Rathod. before taking on his upcoming role in Naagin 7 where he will star alongside Priyanka Chahar Choudhary. The show is set to premiere soon marking another significant chapter in his television career.
Personal Life
Namik resides in Bandra Mumbai and maintains a low-profile lifestyle. As of 2025 he is unmarried and prefers to keep his personal life private. Fitness is central to his routine, including strength training, cardio, yoga, and mindful nutrition which he combines with home-cooked meals and occasional indulgences.
