The Indian Idol stage was filled with laughter and light-hearted drama during a special episode that welcomed veteran stars Jaya Prada and Reena Roy. Contestant Suhail Sufi instantly became the centre of attention when he walked in dressed in a quirky traditional outfit leaving everyone amused.
Host Aditya Narayan clearly entertained by Suhail’s unexpected look couldn’t resist pulling his leg and asked what inspired the makeover. With a smile Suhail revealed that when Amritha’s father had previously appeared on the show she was overjoyed so this time he wanted to do something fun to bring a smile to her face.
Aditya quickly turned to Amritha to check if the effort paid off. Laughing wholeheartedly she responded “You’re the best and the funniest part of the show how could I not be happy?”
The playful teasing continued as Aditya jokingly referred to Suhail as Amritha’s in-house entertainer. Taking the fun a notch higher he suggested turning the moment into a dramatic scene casting Suhail as the hero Amritha as the heroine and imagining a villain trying to separate them.
To make things even more entertaining Aditya invited Jaya Prada to coach Amritha in acting. What followed was a hilarious performance as Jaya went full dramatic mode repeatedly shouting “bachao bachao” sending the entire set into peals of laughter. When Suhail froze during the act Aditya delivered the punchline teasing him by saying that he turns into Om Shanti Om’s Deepika Padukone in every take.
Packed with spontaneous humour, nostalgic moments and playful banter the episode turned out to be a delightful treat for viewers.
