Today’s episode begins with Parag folding his hands and apologising to Prarthana admitting that he could not become a good father. He says that while Gautam made mistakes he also accepted them and repeatedly apologised and Anupama forgave him after seeing his emotional pleas. Parag asks Prarthana to forgive him as well.
Parag emotionally declares that Prarthana is his daughter and he is ready to take complete responsibility for her and her unborn child for life. After Gayatri’s death he had broken down completely but for Prarthana and Prem he pulled himself together and worked day and night to give them a good life. He asks whether as a father he has no right to stop his daughter.
Anupama responds firmly saying that this is not concern but emotional blackmail.
Arguments Escalate Between Parag and Anupama
Parag lashes out at Anupama telling her that when she speaks everyone listens so now she should remain silent while he speaks. Rahi intervenes and asks Parag not to speak disrespectfully to Anupama. Prem supports Rahi saying she is right.
Parag then states that Prarthana’s marriage to Gautam failed and he accepted her decision. Even her marriage to Ansh was accepted by him happily and he even gave Ansh a chance. However Parag believes Ansh failed to prove himself. According to him if Ansh could not be a good husband how could he become a good father? He claims Ansh cannot take responsibility for Prarthana or the baby.
Anupama sarcastically asks whether Parag and Gautam have become astrologers who can predict the future. She reminds everyone that parents usually send their daughters off with prayers and trust not predictions of failure. She urges Parag to stop making baseless assumptions and to send Prarthana off with blessings.
Family Divisions Deepen
Hasmukh and Leela assure that they will take full care of Prarthana. Prarthana promises she will keep visiting. Parag harshly responds that she should not come at all as she has chosen her in-laws as her family and become an enemy to her own father.
Prarthana explains that she loves both her parental and marital homes. She waited a long time to find a partner like Ansh and had only stayed back earlier due to circumstances. Parag bitterly replies that daughters are said to become others after marriage but in his case the father has become the outsider.
Parag warns Prarthana that her house is always full of conflicts and Prarthana will not be happy there. He also oddly advises Prarthana that after marriage a woman does not need to blindly agree with her husband or in-laws and should think independently about her and her baby’s future.
Anupama sharply responds that Parag should have said all this when Gautam was mistreating Prarthana.
Parag says Prarthana’s delivery date is approaching and he does not want negligence to risk her health. Vasundhara supports him and insists Prarthana stay back. Mahi adds that since she has stayed this long a few more days will not matter.
Anil argues that Prarthana’s in-laws are not outsiders. Vasundhara erupts accusing everyone of forgetting her principles. Leela defends Ansh stating that he has taken full responsibility of the Shah household and is capable of caring for his child.
Anupama strongly supports Ansh saying one failure does not define a person’s entire life. Khyati adds that Ansh’s business is doing well and his products are creating a buzz in the market.
Raja openly states that the biggest problem in both families is that they separate people who love each other. Prem agrees.
Anupama Takes a Stand
As arguments intensify Anupama pleads with everyone to stop fighting and pressuring Prarthana in her condition. She questions whether they truly love her if they can put her under such stress.
Parag accuses Anupama of turning Prarthana against him and declares that if she goes to the Shah house she will be treated like royalty here but there she will have to manage everything herself.
Leela and Hasmukh counter that Prarthana has lived in the Shah house before and would have spoken up if she was unhappy.
The Ultimate Divide
Parag loses control and accuses Anupama of creating chaos. Anupama replies that if she knew they still supported Gautam’s mindset she would not have come.
As tensions peak Vasundhara forcefully tries to stop Prarthana from leaving grabbing her in anger. In the chaos, Anupamaa steps forward to protect Prarthana and Vasundhara loses balance and gets pushed creating a moment of absolute shock in the room. Parag explodes in rage accusing Anupamaa of daring to push Vasundhara reminding everyone that Vasundhara is the elder of the house. Anupamaa firmly clarifies that she did not push Vasundhara intentionally but acted only to save Prarthana. However Parag refuses to listen and orders Anupamaa to stay quiet declaring that enough is enough. This incident becomes the final trigger that pushes Parag toward taking an extreme decision.
Parag then dramatically brings a cloth and places it in the center declaring a permanent division between the Kothari and Shah families. He announces that from today onwards, there are two teams Team Anupama and Team Parag Kothari and anyone choosing Anupama will have no relationship with the Kotharis forever.
Vasundhara and Gautam stand with Parag. The entire Shah family stands with Anupama. Raja shocks everyone by joining Anupama.
Prem chooses Anupama. Rahi is left torn, but Anupama releases both Prem and Rahi from the decision saying their togetherness matters more than sides.
Anupama leaves with the Shah family along with Ansh and Prarthana. Gautam fumes with rage but Mahi reassures him that the baby will ultimately come to them.
At the Shah house Anupama warmly welcomes Ansh and Prarthana. Prarthana nearly loses balance but Anupama catches her. Pakhi remarks that this is a sign of new beginnings. Anupama confidently says that everything will be fine.
