MTV’s reality hit Splitsvilla has returned with Season 16 titled Splitsvilla 16 – Pyaar Ya Paisa which premiered on January 9 2026. This season brings a revamped setup with Sunny Leone reprising her role as the Queen of Hearts while Karan Kundrra joins as the King of Hearts. Adding more spice to the drama Nia Sharma and Uorfi Javed have entered the show as the Mischief Makers.
Along with these changes the makers have also introduced a subtle but interesting shift in the format. For the first time the role of an Insider has been given to Simran Behl. Earlier seasons usually featured former Splitsvilla contestants in this position but this year the creators felt Simran’s personality, influence, and strong connect with the audience made her a perfect fit.
Expressing her excitement Simran shared that the opportunity came as a surprise. She revealed that she had earlier been approached to participate as a contestant but had to turn it down due to personal commitments. When the Insider role was later offered she saw it as a meaningful way to be associated with the show and expressed gratitude for the confidence the team placed in her.
Simran Behl has previously impressed audiences with her performances in Murder Meri Jaan! (2021), Gutar Gu (2023), and Hawao Ki Tarah (2023). Her presence in Splitsvilla 16 adds a fresh perspective and brings a new energy to the show while still keeping the core essence of the format intact.
