Today’s episode opens with Abhira noticing that Rahi looks unusually tense and distracted. Anupama gently asks her what is wrong. Rahi admits that she doesn’t know the exact reason but her heart feels uneasy as if something bad is about to happen. She keeps checking her phone again and again.
Anupama tries to calm her down and says that maybe Rahi is feeling this way because Prem is not around and she is missing him. She suggests that Rahi should call him. Rahi replies that she has already tried calling Prem but his phone is not reachable. She also tried calling Prerna but her phone is not connecting either.
Seeing Rahi’s anxiety Anupama tells her that sometimes the best cure for restlessness is a mother’s comfort. She asks Rahi to come and rest with her head in her lap. Rahi quietly does so still looking worried.
Rahi’s Inner Conflict
In a flashback Mahi asks Rahi when Prem will return. Rahi confidently says that he will come back soon. Mahi then brings up Prerna and says that Rahi should not have sent Prerna along with Prem.
Mahi points out that Prerna has feelings for Prem and sending them together was risky. She tells Rahi to stop being so innocent and calls this behavior something a wife should not ignore. Mahi explains that even if Prem’s intentions are clean she has clearly seen in Prerna’s eyes that she wants Prem. Rahi asks how Mahi can be so sure. Mahi replies that she has been in the same place once alone, scared and emotionally weak. She explains that when someone in such a state gets even a little attention and sympathy they start dreaming of more. Prerna according to Mahi is currently sad, lonely and depressed and even a small emotional support can make her imagine a future that could destroy Rahi’s present. Mahi also reminds Rahi that Prem and Prerna already share a past and that past could come back to ruin Rahi’s future.
Rahi defends both of them saying that Prem and Prerna are just friends and that whatever happened earlier was only from Prerna’s side. She says she trusts Prem more than anyone else. Mahi counters this by saying that if Prem truly understood boundaries he would have told Rahi clearly that Prerna is not just a friend and that Prerna still loves him. This conversation makes Rahi even more restless.
Anupama Senses Something Deeper Is Wrong
Back in the present Anupama notices Rahi’s growing uneasiness and asks her directly whether she is only worried because Prem is not around Prerna or if there is something more troubling her.
Goons Attack Prerna, Prem Steps In
Elsewhere Prem praises Prerna for her excellent presentation. He tells her that everyone is impressed and that it feels like they might actually win. Prem adds that Prerna’s restaurant business is now close to her heart too and he suggests that they could combine both their passions. He even asks her to consider joining him. They share a light moment when Prem jokes and asks if she will be able to tolerate him every day. Prerna smiles at his teasing.
Suddenly a few goons start teasing Prerna. When one of them crosses the line Prerna slaps him. This angers the men and they begin misbehaving with her. Prerna struggles to protect herself. Just then Prem arrives. He warns the goons and gets into a fight with them. After a brief scuffle the goons run away. Shaken and scared Prerna hugs Prem tightly.
Rahi Clears Her Heart with Anupama
Back at home Anupama asks Rahi what exactly is making her so anxious about Prem. Rahi says it’s nothing like that and insists that she is not doubting Prem. Anupama points out that the word doubt came up only because Prem has gone with Prerna.
Rahi admits that Mahi has planted these thoughts in her mind. Anupama explains that she is not saying a wife should blindly trust her husband but living in constant suspicion can destroy peace. She advises Rahi to keep her heart open and talk to Prem honestly about what she is feeling whether it is fear, doubt or insecurity because unspoken feelings slowly turn into bigger problems and start affecting relationships.
Rahi then asks Anupama how she felt when she found out that Maya had a crush on Anuj. Anupama recalls her painful past for a moment and asks Rahi why she is changing the topic. She reassures Rahi that Prem is a good man who loves her and would not hide anything from her. Rahi says that when Prem comes backnshe will talk to him calmly. Anupama tells her not to worry so much and to send Prem a message. In her heart Anupama prays that even the shadow of doubt should never fall between Rahi and Prem.
At the hotel Prem tells Prerna to relax and assures her that she is safe there and nothing will happen to her. Prerna still shaken asks Prem to stay until she falls asleep because she doesn’t want to be alone. Prem agrees. He checks his phone and realizes that there is a network issue. He says that messages are not going through which means Rahi won’t be able to reach him either.
Meanwhile Khayati notices that Parag is working late into the night and asks him what’s wrong. Parag says he is checking the accounts and figuring out how much money they need to return to Gautam. He wants Gautam and Mahi out of the house as soon as possible. Khayati asks about Vasundhara. Parag says that Vasundhara will eventually understand that Gautam cannot be trusted. He is sure that after Prarthana’s child is born Gautam will definitely create some new trouble.
Parag also asks if Anupama is facing any problem. Khayati replies that Anupama is fine and is taking good care of Rahi and Prarthana.
They then talk about Kriti Khayati wonders how long Kriti will stay there. Parag says that she should just avoid fighting with anyone but Kriti has been like this since childhood lying creating drama, and never being right. Khayati points out that Vasundhara always believes Kriti. Parag bitterly replies that Vasundhara also believes Gautam and he doesn’t want Kriti to turn out like him.
Kapil Confronts Kriti
Kapil confronts Kriti and asks why she went to threaten his mother. He reveals that his mother is missing and reminds Kriti of her age asking her to at least think about that. Kriti coldly replies that Kapil’s mother was taking money from her husband and trying to destroy her household. She even says that it would be better if Kapil’s mother just died and reduced the population.
Shocked and furious Kapil says they have enough money and asks what is wrong if he helped his own mother. In anger he raises his hand at Kriti but Vasundhara steps in and stops him. She slaps Kapil instead and asks how he dared to raise his hand on her daughter in her house.
Kriti immediately starts acting innocent and tells Vasundhara not to say anything to Kapil claiming that no matter what he is her husband. Vasundhara tells her not to be scared and reminds Kapil that Kriti is the daughter of this family. Kriti then lies and says that it was her fault because she served Kapil cold food.
Vasundhara however warns that if Kapil ever raises his hand on Kriti again it will not be good for him. She decides to call the police but Kriti stops her. In the end Vasundhara takes Kriti away with her.
Kapil Breaks Down and Tries to End His Life
Anupama tries to talk to Kapil but he asks her to leave him alone and says he wants to die. He locks himself in his room. Anupama grows scared tries to open the door and then looks through the window only to see Kapil attempting to commit suicide.
She rushes in and stops him just in time. Anupama asks him why he wants to die. Kapil breaks down and says that in this world men are always seen as wrong. He says there are laws to protect women from domestic violence but there is nothing for men who suffer the same pain. Anupama is shocked by his words. Kapil says that a man’s tears and pain get buried in silence. When a man cries no one listens. He asks what a man is supposed to do when there is no law and no support for him.
Anupama tells him that the world will not come to share his pain and everyone has to fight their own battles. If he keeps calling himself helpless, he will remain stuck like that. She asks him to think at least about his mother what will happen to her if he dies?
She gently asks him to trust her like an elder sister and share everything that is in his heart.
Kapil Share His Past
Kapil finally opens up. He says that his father used to beat his mother a lot and she suffered domestic violence all her life. When Kapil got engaged his mother made him promise that he would never mentally or physically hurt his wife. He says he cannot break that promise.
Anupama asks him if he has taken a promise then why is he thinking of ending his own life?
Kapil admits he kept ignoring her rude and cruel behavior and he believed Kriti would change one day and that his love would improve her. But that never happened. Now he is completely exhausted. He says that women’s tears are visible to the world but men are always assumed to be wrong.
Why Kapil Feels Trapped
Anupama asks Kapil why he never defends himself. Kapil replies that Kriti is not alone she has the sympathy of society, the police, and her family. He says that in this world men are always blamed and women are seen as incapable of being abusive. He adds that many men suffer domestic violence like him but no one understands their pain. When Anupama asks why he doesn’t go for a divorce Kapil explains that Kriti will never agree to it because her family would disown her if she did.
Precap: Prem is shocked to realize that Prerna has feelings for him. At the same time Rahi and Prem’s photo frame falls and breaks at home leaving both Anupama and Rahi worried seeing it as a bad sign. Kapil tells Anupama that he will not tolerate Kriti’s violence anymore. Anupama advises him to use his mind instead of losing hope. She tells him to record whatever Kriti does from now on and gather proof. She encourages him to fight for the truth and expose reality to the world instead of giving up on his life.
