As the sun rose over the Velliangiri Mountains this morning, it marked the conclusion of one of the most vibrant Mahashivratri celebrations ever held at the Isha Yoga Center. The night-long vigil, led by Sadhguru, drew a massive global audience and a star-studded guest list, including actresses Tamannaah Bhatia, Sara Arjun, and Srinidhi Shetty, who were seen immersing themselves in the spiritual and cultural festivities.

A Night of High Energy and Devotion
The event, held in the presence of the iconic 112-foot Adiyogi statue, was not just a spiritual gathering but a massive cultural explosion. For the first time this year, Sadhguru personally conducted the Yogeshwara Linga Maha Abhishekam, a sacred ritual that set a deep, meditative tone for the millions watching worldwide.

However, as the night progressed, the atmosphere shifted from silent meditation to electric celebration. Bollywood and South Indian film star Tamannaah Bhatia, a regular at the Isha celebrations, was seen dancing enthusiastically to the rhythmic beats of folk music. Clad in an elegant ivory outfit, her joy was infectious as she joined thousands of devotees in staying awake through the “darkest night of the year.”

Rising Stars and Seasoned Artistes
Young actress Sara Arjun, who recently garnered acclaim for her role in the blockbuster Dhurandhar, attended the event with her father, Raj Arjun. Expressing her gratitude, Sara described the experience as “magical,” particularly highlighting the midnight meditation. She was frequently spotted alongside KGF star Srinidhi Shetty and actress Mouni Roy, all of whom shared glimpses of their spiritual journey on social media.

The musical lineup for 2026 was a diverse blend of the traditional and the contemporary Aditya Gadhvi: The folk sensation brought the crowd to its feet with high-energy Gujarati tracks. Sounds of Isha: The foundation’s homegrown band collaborated with rappers Blaaze and Paradox for a unique fusion of spiritual chants and modern beats.

Swaroop Khan: Known for his powerful folk vocals, Khan’s performance was a major highlight of the early morning hours. Sandeep Narayan: Representing the classical side, the Carnatic vocalist provided a soulful contrast to the high-tempo folk segments.

Dignitaries and Global Reach
The 33rd edition of Isha’s Mahashivratri was graced by Defence Minister Rajnath Singh as the Chief Guest, who spoke on the importance of spirituality in modern life. Other notable attendees included Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis and Union Minister L. Murugan.

With the event broadcast in 24 languages across 100+ television channels and digital platforms, the “Great Night of Shiva” reached an estimated 140 million people. Between the explosive dance performances and the profound Adiyogi Divya Darshanam—a laser light show depicting the origin of Yoga—the night served as a reminder of India’s rich cultural heritage.

As the Brahma Muhurtam meditation concluded at dawn, the message from the Velliangiri foothills was clear: Mahashivratri 2026 was not just a festival, but a global celebration of human potential and inner peace. To know such latest updates tuned tellyboosters.com Thank you!
