Jio Studios presents Sangamarmar, produced by Jyoti Deshpande and directed by Vikram Ghai, bringing Rajshri Productions timeless emotional storytelling to the digital space
JioHotstar has unveiled the trailer of its upcoming multi-generational family drama Sangamarmar a deeply emotional series that explores love, sacrifice and the quiet strength of relationships across time. Presented by Jio Studios and produced by Rajshri Productions (P) Ltd the series is directed by Vikram Ghai.
The show will begin streaming 26th February 2026 with new episodes dropping every Thursday exclusively on JioHotstar.
Rooted in warmth and emotional honesty, Sangamarmar carries the signature storytelling of Sooraj Barjatya celebrating family bonds, enduring love and the choices that quietly shape generations. The series stars Sheen Savita Dass and Sourabh Raaj Jain in pivotal roles alongside Smita Bansal, Khalid Siddiqui, Farooq Saeed, Swati Tarar, Jaya Ojha and Avinash Wadhwani.
Spanning two timelines over 25 years the story follows Amrita a woman whose life is forever altered by a single defining decision. Torn between personal dreams and family responsibility she chooses duty over a blossoming love with Aditya. What begins as an innocent romance transforms into a poignant journey of sacrifice, separation and an unspoken love that refuses to fade with time.
Sharing his thoughts Sooraj Barjatya said that Sangamarmar reflects the realities of families we all recognise filled with love, misunderstandings, patience and perseverance. He added that time plays a powerful role in both testing and healing relationships making this story deeply relatable.
Talking about her character Sheen Savita Dass described Amrita as the emotional centre of the narrative, a woman who consistently places responsibility above personal happiness. Portraying her journey through different phases of life, silences and compromises was an intimate and rewarding experience for the actor.
Sourabh Raaj Jain shared that what drew him to the show was the sincerity of its emotions love that doesn’t rush doesn’t break easily, and remains steadfast despite life’s uncertainties. He called working with Sooraj Barjatya a dream-like experience and a defining moment in his career.
Smita Bansal who essays the role of Vasudha spoke about portraying a mother whose quiet strength and values leave a lasting impact across generations making the story emotionally rich and deeply resonant.
