Today’s episode opens with Pari asking Rahi how the saree looks. She proudly says she designed it herself by gathering and stitching it creatively. Rahi praises the saree and asks why she put in so much effort. Pari hints that something is happening at home but reminds Rahi that tomorrow is Anupama’s birthday. She asks if Rahi forgot. Rahi says no and shows the handmade card she prepared for Anupama, saying Anupama will love it. Pari says that despite all the tensions at home, they must not forget to celebrate Anupama’s birthday. Rahi agrees and shares that Prem is also planning a surprise. Pari adds that even Vasundhara was saying she misses Anupama.
Anupama Dreams of Anuj
Anupama dreams that Anuj wishes her a happy birthday and says I love you. In her sleep she murmurs that she loves him too and says he knows that until he wishes her she will not open her eyes. She says she misses him and recalls her beautiful moments with Anuj.
Suddenly she receives a call from Ansh informing her that he has taken Prarthana to the hospital.
Tension at the Hospital
Anupama rushes to the hospital. Ansh hugs her tightly and breaks down. She asks him why he is so worried when he knew this day would come. She says this is a moment of happiness. Ansh explains that Prarthana is in pain and he is feeling helpless. Anupama consoles him saying he feels helpless because she is in pain and he cannot do anything. She adds that one good thing about this generation is that even if they cannot share someone’s pain they at least understand it. She asks him to calm down.
The doctor comes out and informs them that both Prarthana and the baby are fine. She congratulates them and announces that Prarthana has given birth to a baby girl. Parag, Khyati, Ansh, Rahi, and Pari shout in happiness. Everyone celebrates the good news. Vasundhara says that such a big happiness has come into the house so celebrating is natural. The doctor asks them to celebrate softly and informs them that Prarthana will soon be shifted to her room. Anupama congratulates Ansh and reminds him that now that he has become a father he must not forget his responsibilities and must keep Pari even happier.
A Special Coincidence
Rahi suddenly asks everyone if they realized something. Everyone looks confused and asks what she means. Rahi reveals that Prarthana’s baby was born on Anupama’s birthday. Everyone feels even happier. Anupama is surprised. However Vasundhara does not seem pleased.
Prem and Rahi wish Anupama. Rahi says she is experiencing double happiness today. Ansh says he feels blessed that his daughter will share her birthday with Anupama and hugs her. Parag and Khyati also wish her. Anupama thanks them but says that today belongs only to Prarthana and her baby. She congratulates Parag and Khyati as well.
Anupama takes Vasundhara’s blessings and says that from now on every year on her birthday she will take her blessings and wish for Prarthana baby. Vasundhara taunts her saying she will wish the baby but pray that their destinies are not the same because the baby belongs to the Kothari family. Anupama is stunned and emotional.
Anupama’s Prayer
Anupama goes aside and prays to God thanking Him for the beautiful gift on her birthday. She says she believes that the baby’s arrival will change the Kothari family’s fate. She asks God to write a life full of happiness for the child.
She congratulates Prarthana on her first day in the world. Prarthana says it is the baby’s first day not hers. Anupama replies that it is Prarthana’s first day too because along with the baby’s birth a mother is also born. If she gave birth to the baby the baby also gave birth to a mother.
Khyati shares that she still remembers the feeling of becoming a mother for the first time even after preparing for life nothing feels enough in that moment. Vasundhara adds that when she first held Parag she was trembling from head to toe. She says a baby brings both immense happiness and deep fear to a mother.
Anupama says that when a mother first holds her baby she realizes how big a responsibility it is. She adds that hands tremble while holding a newborn but it is comforting that family members are there to support. She says raising a child requires a whole family team.
Anupama Hold the Baby First
Vasundhara declares that she will be the first to hold the baby saying it is believed that whoever holds the baby first leaves an impression on the child. Ansh murmurs that in that case Anupama should hold her first. Prarthana jokes that if Vasundhara holds her first there will be two Vasundhara in the house.
Prem says he will hold the baby first. Rahi and Prem start arguing playfully. Vasundhara suggests that if they are so eager they should bring their own baby. Parag comments that if the baby goes to Rahi and Prem Vasundhara will be upset and if she goes to Vasundhara Rahi and Prem will feel bad so the best solution is that he should hold the baby.
Everyone starts arguing. Anupama stops them and says everyone is thinking about themselves but the right to hold the baby first belongs to the parents Ansh and Prarthana.
The nurse arrives carrying the baby but she slips and is about to fall. Anupama quickly saves the baby and takes her into her arms.
Ansh smiles and says Anupama won without fighting because she held the baby first. He wishes the baby grows up to be like her. Vasundhara is not pleased. Anupama says a child’s personality is shaped by a mother’s values, a father’s love, the family environment, fate, karma and God’s blessings. She says Prarthana’s baby will be the best. Anupama says her happiness has only increased.
Anupama asks Ansh and Prarthana to take the baby. They hesitate out of fear. She reassures them that everyone is there to support them but they must learn to handle their responsibility themselves.
Gautam’s Emotional Moment
Gautam sees his daughter and becomes emotional. Mahi stops him and warns that if he goes inside it may lead to unnecessary conflict. Ansh holds the baby and says she is his most beautiful dream come true.
Tears fill Gautam’s eyes. Anupama notices him and asks Ansh to let Gautam hold the baby. Ansh tells Gautam that since he has come he should at least meet his daughter. Gautam takes the baby in his arms and becomes emotional but the baby starts crying. Gautam says he did nothing to make her cry. Ansh takes the baby back.
Vasundhara taunts that the baby already knows who her real father is and it is good she does not need to learn the difference between her own and others. Gautam is shocked.
Prem and Rahi take the baby and lovingly talk to her. Prem tells the baby that he is her best friend and will fulfill all her wishes.
Vasundhara Pressures Rahi
Vasundhara tells Anupama that she can see how much Prem loves the baby and if he loves Prarthana’s baby this much imagine how much he will adore his own child. She asks Anupama to make Rahi understand and start planning a family. She questions what Rahi will gain only by studying and says she should plan her family at the right time or she may regret it later.
Anupama calmly says Vasundhara is not entirely wrong but they cannot force Rahi and Prem. If they are not ready for this responsibility yet she cannot pressure them. She adds that a child is a lifelong responsibility. She believes Rahi and Prem are mature enough and will not delay giving Vasundhara the happiness of a grandchild.
Precap: Anupama dances with the family, celebrating her birthday and welcoming the baby. Gautam grows angry while watching. Later in a shocking moment Prarthana jumps off the terrace with the baby in her arms. Anupama is left stunned.
