Today’s episode begins with Prem asking Rahi what happened. Rahi says she fears that if Prarthana does not return on time Vasundhara will get upset. Prem replies that Prarthana should have thought about it earlier because both Anupama and Vasundhara had tried to stop her but she remained stubborn about going.
Gautam angrily asks what will happen if Prarthana does not return on time. He questions who Anupama is to delay the family’s pooja. Prem immediately responds that Gautam has no right to speak like that reminding him that Anupama only took his daughter with her. Parag then intervenes and clarifies that he himself gave permission for Prarthana and Pranshi to go so no one should object.
Gautam Threatens the Family
In anger Gautam goes to Mahi. Mahi tries to calm him and says that if the matter goes to court the baby will eventually come to them.
But Gautam is furious and warns that if even a scratch comes to his daughter he will not wait for the court’s decision. He declares that he will not spare the Kothari family if anything happens to the baby.
Prarthana’s Tragic Death
Meanwhile Anupama suddenly falls on the road and injures her leg. Prarthana and Ansh see her. Ansh asks Prarthana to take care of baby Pranshi while he checks on Anupama.
Pranshi starts crying so Prarthana tells Ansh to stay with the baby while she quickly checks on Anupama. At that very moment a speeding truck rushes toward Anupama. Prarthana sees the truck approaching and is horrified. She screams and runs toward Anupama pushing her away to safety.
However Prarthana herself gets hit by the truck. Ansh and Anupama scream Prarthana’s name in shock.
A Bad Omen at the Kothari House
At the same time Prarthana’s photograph suddenly falls and breaks at the Kothari house. Vasundhara becomes extremely worried and senses that something is terribly wrong. She asks Parag to call Prarthana immediately. Soon both the Kothari and Shah families start trying to contact Ansh, Anupama and Prarthana but no one answers their calls. Everyone becomes increasingly anxious.
Vasundhara panics and asks why no one is picking up the phone. Parag tries to reassure her saying that perhaps the pooja has already started and they cannot hear the phone ringing. But Vasundhara’s fear grows stronger. She says she should have stopped Prarthana from going, because she already had a bad feeling. In frustration and panic she throws her phone.
Anupama Returns in Shock
Just then Anupama arrives holding Pranshi in her arms. She looks devastated and completely shaken. Everyone is shocked to see Anupama’s condition. Rahi immediately asks how Anupama got injured and whether she is alright. She also asks where Ansh and Prarthana are. But Anupama remains silent. Pranshi starts crying so Rahi takes the baby from Anupama.
Parag asks why Anupama looks so distressed and where Ansh and Prarthana are. Yet again Anupama says nothing. Leela anxiously tells her to say something because everyone is worried about death. Khyati also asks why Anupama returned alone and where Ansh and Prarthana are. Gautam angrily asks what Anupama has done now.
Vasundhara demands answers. She says she does not want Anupama’s silence. Anupama had promised to take Prarthana for darshan and bring her back safely and now the entire family is asking only one question where are their children. Anil pleads with Anupama to speak up before everyone loses their sanity with worry. Prem gently tells Anupama to say something and assure everyone that everything is alright.
Anupama Breaks Down
Anupama stands shattered. She remembers how Prarthana sacrificed her life to save her. Unable to handle the shock and guilt Anupama collapses unconscious on the floor. Everyone is left completely stunned.
After a Few Days
Shah Family Mourns Prarthana’s Death A few days later after Prarthana’s 13th day rituals. Leela says that even after the rituals the pain of losing Prarthana has not reduced. Hasmukh adds that losing children in old age is a fear that only grows stronger with time and no one understands God’s will.
Leela says her heart aches for Ansh because in a single moment his entire world collapses. She reveals that the Kotharis have taken Pranshi away from Ansh leaving him completely alone. Toshu says that it was just an accident yet the Kotharis are blaming Anupama and Ansh for Prarthana’s death. Pakhi adds that Ansh has already lost his child while Anupama believes Prarthana died because of her.
Hasmukh tells them to try putting themselves in Anupama’s place. If such a tragic accident happened before their eyes they would never recover from the trauma either. Leela agrees but says Anupama is still alive and must continue living. She reminds everyone that it was Prarthana who insisted on going to the temple. Kinjal fears that the Kotharis may once again blame Anupama just like they did during Aryan’s death.
Leela says that when the real reason behind a tragedy is unknown people often blame one person because it makes the pain easier to process. Since Prarthana died while saving Anupama the Kotharis might hold Anupama responsible forever. Kinjal prays that Anupama and Ansh find the strength to survive this tragedy.
Anupama and Ansh Blame Themselves
Anupama remembers Prarthana and tells Ansh that his entire world ended in a moment and even his child is no longer with him.She says that the tragedy should have happened to her instead. She regrets not stopping Prarthana from going. Ansh asks her to stop blaming herself.
But Anupama says that since the accident.one thought keeps coming to her mind again and again why didn’t God take her instead.Ansh says that if anyone deserves blame it should be God not her. Both Anupama and Ansh break down in tears.
The Kothari Family Grieves
At the Kothari house Parag remembers Prarthana and cries. Prem and Rahi also mourn her loss. Vasundhara says she had tried her best to stop Prarthana but Prarthana did not listen to her warnings. Mahi tells Gautam that everyone is grieving but he must stay strong because he is now the baby’s only parent.
Khyati becomes worried about Parag and asks him to eat something for the sake of his health. Rahi gently tells Parag that while he may refuse everyone else he cannot refuse Pranshi. That is why she has brought the baby to him.
Rahi tells him to eat but Parag breaks down emotionally. When Pranshi holds his finger he remembers that Prarthana used to hold his finger the same way and never let go even if someone tried to pull her away. He cries and asks how Prarthana could leave him like this. Vasundhara tries to console him. Parag blames himself and says Prarthana died because of him. Both Vasundhara and Anupama had tried to stop her but he was the one who gave permission. He breaks down completely.
Anil tells him that whatever happens is part of God’s.Rahi explains that it was just an accident an unfortunate moment of fate. She urges Parag not to carry guilt in his heart. Rahi tells Prem that it is heartbreaking to see both Parag and Anupama blaming themselves. She wonders how she will handle both of them at the same time.
Devika Arrives to Help Anupama
Anupama is still in deep shock. Leela says it is good that Devika has come. Devika explains that she knew Anupama would not listen to anyone and would continue blaming herself for Prarthana’s death.
Hasmukh says that Anupama is unable to handle her grief and if this continues her pain will turn into a permanent wound. He asks Devika to take Anupama with her for some time assuring her that they will take care of Ansh.
Devika Convince Anupama
Devika calls out to Anupama. Anupama hugs her tightly and breaks down saying everything happened because of her. She says Vasundhara had tried to stop Prarthana but she agreed to take her anyway and now everything has been destroyed. Anupama calls herself a terrible person.
Devika firmly tells her that none of this was her fault. But Anupama insists she had promised Vasundhara that she would take care of Prarthana yet she failed. Because of her the Kotharis lost their daughter and Ansh lost everything.
Devika tries to comfort her.
She then explains that she urgently needs to travel to America for a project and cannot take Jaya with her. Since Jaya has already spent most of her life alone Devika cannot leave her by herself again. She asks Anupama to come with her and take care of Jaya.
Family Supports Devika’s Plan
Anupama refuses at first saying Ansh needs her and she cannot leave him alone. Devika responds that Jaya is much younger than Ansh yet she has no one. She reminds Anupama that whenever Anupama needed help she was always there. Now Devika needs her help for her daughter.
Hasmukh and Leela also support Devika’s request. They assure Anupama that they will take care of Ansh and she should not worry about him. Devika thinks that she is emotionally persuading Anupama but she believes this step is necessary for Anupama’s healing. Leaving Ahmedabad for a while might help her recover from the trauma.
Ansh Encourages Anupama to Go
Anupama finally speaks to Ansh about Devika’s request. She says Devika wants her to come along to help take care of Jaya but she feels guilty about leaving him.
Ansh replies that life is full of unexpected tragedies and while the pain will always remain people must still move forward. He asks Anupama to go with Devika because Jaya truly needs her. Ansh reminds her that this tragedy was fate not her fault. He also says that Devika has always supported Anupama so now it is their turn to support her. He promises to take care of himself.
Anupama Leaves Ahmedabad
After meeting everyone Anupama decides to leave Ahmedabad with Devika. Meanwhile at the Kothari house the atmosphere remains filled with grief. The Kotharis mourns Prarthana’s death. Rahi takes care of Pranshi while Gautam tries to feed Vasundhara Parag refuses to see Pranshi. Khyati breaks down in tears. Rahi and Prem take care of Pranshi. Anupama is leaving with Pranshi.
Precap: After a few months the story shifts to Goa where a cycling race competition is taking place. For the first time Anupama participates in a cycling race accepting a challenge. Jaya cheers loudly for Anupama from the sidelines.
