In a move that has sent waves of excitement through the Hindi film industry, legendary filmmaker Sooraj Barjatya has officially reunited with music maestro Himesh Reshammiya for his upcoming project. This collaboration marks their second outing together after the massive musical success of the 2015 Salman Khan-starrer Prem Ratan Dhan Payo.
The yet-to-be-titled film features Ayushmann Khurrana in the lead role alongside Sharvari Wagh. This project is significant not only for its creative reunion but also because it marks the first time Ayushmann Khurrana will be performing to Himesh Reshammiya’s compositions.
According to industry insiders, the album is expected to be a cornerstone of the film’s narrative. Reports suggest that Himesh has already delivered seven original tracks for the movie.
Sources close to the production indicate that Sooraj Barjatya’s brief to Himesh was clear: the music needs to be soulful, simple, and mass-appealing. While many modern soundtracks focus on urban “cool,” Barjatya is reportedly keen on melodies that can penetrate the rural heartlands and the Indian hinterland—a feat Himesh is famous for achieving throughout his career.
“Himesh is a master of creating melodies that stay with the common man,” a source revealed. “Sooraj ji wanted songs that feel warm and relatable, reaching beyond the metros to every corner of the country.”
The film is being produced by Rajshri Productions in association with Mahaveer Jain Films. Known for his clean, family-oriented dramas, Barjatya seems to be blending his traditional storytelling with a fresh, contemporary cast.
In addition to Ayushmann and Sharvari, the film boasts a stellar supporting cast, including:
Anupam Kher, Seema Pahwa, Supriya Pathak.
Filming for this romantic family entertainer began on November 1, 2025, and is currently in its final stages. The crew is expected to wrap up the shoot by late April or early May 2026.
While the official title and trailer are still under wraps, the industry is already buzzing about the “Barjatya-Reshammiya” brand of music. With Ayushmann Khurrana—who is himself a singer—leading the film, fans are eager to see if he will lend his voice to any of Himesh’s compositions.
The film is tentatively scheduled for a theatrical release in the second half of 2026, promising to bring back the era of large-scale, musically-driven family cinema. Toknow such latest updates tuned tellyboosters.com Thank you!
