Today’s episode begins with Toshu saying that it was expected that whenever Anupama comes home, a big issue follows. He adds that this time she has done the right thing. He explains that there was a mistake in Pari’s preparation which Anupama caught and now the reporter will write the truth.
Hasmukh says that Anupama is stuck in a moral dilemma yet Toshu seems happy. Toshu replies that Anupama always supports the truth and will do the same this time. He salutes her and says that for the first time he feels proud of her. Pakhi however worries that if the reporter writes the truth it will create major problems. She suggests ending the matter by writing positively about Prem’s five-star restaurant. Toshu adds that Gautam has already said he will highlight any mistake he finds. Mahi says Gautam will never support Prem and Rahi because he cannot see them settling in life.
Leela says everyone should think about Prem and Rahi as they worked very hard. If the restaurant shuts down before opening it will become difficult for Rahi to stay in that house. Ishani points out that this decision is not easy for Anupama. Ansh says they should not pressure Anupama and that she should do what she feels is right. Jassi supports this saying Anupama can never be dishonest in her work.
Tensions Rise Over Truth vs Relationships
Hasmukh says Anupama understands her responsibility. Pakhi complains that every time her children have to adjust why can’t Anupama do the same? She questions why Anupama always has to act great.
Leela adds that problems are already increasing in the house. She reminds everyone that a court order has already come against Ansh, and now Mahi’s arrival has added more tension. If Prem’s restaurant also shuts down it will create a war in the house. She says she cannot handle all this at her age and wants peace.
Vasundhara Pleads With Anupama
Anupama becomes anxious when Vasundhara arrives and questions whether Anupama values her ego more than Prem and Rahi’s happiness.
Anupama asks Prem if he is okay. Vasundhara taunts her saying Anupama understands Prem very well. Anupama admits she knows how important the restaurant is to Prem it is his dream. She recalls that Prem considered her his guru and wanted her to inaugurate the restaurant believing it would bring good fortune. Vasundhara emotionally pleads with folded hands even saying she is ready to fall at Anupama’s feet. She reminds her that a mother can sacrifice her self-respect for her children so what will Anupama do?
She further explains that even after six months Prem is still living in the trauma of the past incident where Prarthana lost her life. The family is broken by someone lost a daughter, someone a mother and Parag has isolated himself out of guilt. She says the house is filled with sorrow and Prem’s work has finally brought some happiness which Anupama cannot take away. She warns that if Anupama writes negatively in the report she will be blamed for destroying her children’s dreams.
Hasmukh Vasundhara Argument
Hasmukh defends Anupama saying she will not be blamed. Vasundhara argues that if Anupama wants to remain blameless then Prem and his work will be blamed instead.
Hasmukh explains that Anupama has already fulfilled her duty as a mother by guiding Prem but as a professional she must submit an honest report. Vasundhara insists she only wants the report in Prem’s favor so that he gets his license. Hasmukh counters that if Prem, Rahi and Prerna had followed rules properly this mistake wouldn’t have happened. He clearly states that the fault lies in Prem’s preparation.
Toshu says Vasundhara is asking for a favor while insulting Anupama. Pakhi says everything now depends on Anupama she can either save or ruin things. Toshu adds that Anupama will do what is right and truthful. When Pakhi questions whose side he is on Toshu replies he will support whichever side benefits him more.
Prem Requests Anupama
Prem emotionally tells Anupama that he has learned a lot from her even though he could not become like her. He admits his mistake but says he can fix it. He requests her not to submit the report and promises to be careful in the future. He asks for one last chance.
Rahi feels that it is not easy for Anupama to be in this situation but if possible she should help Prem. Anupama notices Rahi’s silence but understands through her eyes that she wants her to support Prem.
Digvijay’s Suspicion
Meanwhile Digvijay watches Saavi’s video and recalls her. Saavi talks about Joshi Ben and her cooking tips. Digvijay becomes emotional.
Banku tells him that he still believes Anupama’s voice matches Joshi Ben’s. He points out similarities to the name Joshi and cooking expertise. Digvijay dismisses it saying many people share similar skills and surnames.
However Banku insists his heart says Joshi Ben is actually Anupama and if that’s true, they can bring her back to save Saavi’s cafe.
Family Pressure Peaks
Vasundhara questions Anupama’s silence mocking her usual talkative nature. Leela asks Vasundhara to leave saying Anupama will handle everything.
Leela then pressures Anupama saying that while truth is important relationships matter more. She urges her to forgive Prem and Rahi. Anupama finally speaks saying this is not easy for her and she is in the most pain. She clearly states she cannot ignore Prem’s major mistake he failed to check the gas pipeline leakage.
She questions Prem and Rahi if they were in her place would they betray their professional duty for relationships?
Anupama Takes a Stand
Anupama firmly declares that she is only doing her job. If anyone has a problem with her report they can approach her seniors.
Vasundhara accuses her of going against the family but Anupama replies that she cannot go against the truth. Ansh, Mahi, and Jassi support Anupama. Rahi says she understands both sides of Anupama’s duty and Prem’s situation.
Gautam’s Hidden Agenda
Khyati, Anil and Meeta discuss the situation. Khyati feels Vasundhara should not have gone to the Shah house as Anupama was already stressed.
Gautam however speaks against Anupama accusing her of deliberately finding faults in Prem’s restaurant. Khyati shuts him down reminding him that Prem is like a son to Anupama. Privately Gautam feels happy believing Vasundhara will turn against Anupama the report will not change, and Prem will lose his license leading to their downfall.
Anupama Emotional Breakdown
Anupama declares that she has written the report honestly based on what she saw and learned. She has always been truthful in both her duty and relationships.
Vasundhara again pleads asking if small mistakes cannot be forgiven. Anupama clarifies that the final decision is not hers it lies with the company. She only conducted the inspection. Vasundhara questions her motherhood asking how she cannot feel pity for Prem who is begging for his future.
Rahi immediately defends Anupama, calling her the best mother in the world. Anupama stands emotionally torn between her duty and her loved ones.
Precap: Prem tells Anupama that even if his restaurant ever opens she will never perform the inauguration ritual. He expresses his anger and says the restaurant may never open anyway. He accuses her of never supporting him this time and declares that he will never meet her again. Prem takes her blessings one last time leaving Anupama completely shattered.
