Following the massive box-office success and widespread debate sparked by the 2023 film The Kerala Story, producer Vipul Amrutlal Shah and director Kamakhya Narayan Singh have unveiled the first official teaser for its sequel, titled The Kerala Story 2: Goes Beyond.

The two-minute-long teaser signals a shift from the original’s focus on victimhood to a narrative of active resistance. While the first film centered on the radicalization of women within Kerala, the sequel broadens its scope to include stories from across India, specifically highlighting the states of Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan.

Departing from the original cast led by Adah Sharma, the sequel introduces a fresh trio of protagonists: Ulka Gupta as Surekha Nair, a hopeful IAS aspirant from Kerala. Aishwarya Ojha as Neha Sant, a javelin thrower from Madhya Pradesh with Olympic dreams. Aditi Bhatia as Divya Paliwal, a Rajasthan-based aspiring social media influencer.

The teaser opens with these women sharing their personal ambitions before recounting how their lives were upended by what the makers describe as a “love trap.” The visuals are stark, featuring the actresses with visible bruises, recounting tales of manipulation and forced conversion.

The core theme of the sequel appears to be a call to action. The teaser concludes with the powerful slogan: “Ab sahenge nahin… ladenge!” (We will no longer endure… we will fight!). This indicates that the film will not only explore the mechanics of how these women were allegedly targeted but will also focus on their journey of finding the strength to fight back against the systems that deceived them.

Director Kamakhya Narayan Singh, a National Award winner, seems to be steering the film toward a more expansive and darker tone. The teaser has already reignited discussions on social media, with supporters praising its “fearless” approach and critics wary of its potential to stir further controversy.

Written by Amarnath Jha and Vipul Amrutlal Shah, the film features music by Mannan Shaah and lyrics by Manoj Muntashir. The project is produced under the banner of Sunshine Pictures. The Kerala Story 2: Goes Beyond is scheduled for a nationwide theatrical release on February 27, 2026. To know such such latest updates tuned to tellyboosters.com Thank you!
