Adnan Khan is an Indian actor who has built a strong presence across television and digital platforms. He earned widespread recognition with Ishq Subhan Allah and is currently winning hearts as Vikrant Saluja in Colors TV’s Mannat – Har Khushi Paane Ki.
Early Life
Born on 24 December 1988 Adnan Khan grew up in Dubai. He completed his schooling at Our Own English High School and later pursued a degree in Business Administration specializing in International Business Management from Manipal University Dubai graduating in 2009.
Coming from a supportive family Adnan shares a close bond with his elder brother Imran Ali. Before entering the entertainment industry he worked as a Human Resources professional in a Dubai-based organization. Although the job offered stability and growth Adnan felt creatively unfulfilled and continued to explore his interest in storytelling and performance.
During his corporate years Adnan gradually gravitated toward filmmaking. His short film Bubble shot in Dubai became a defining moment in his journey. The film traveled to several international film festivals and won Best Short Film at the Tunisia Human Rights Film Festival. This recognition gave him the confidence to pursue acting full-time.
Adnan moved to Mumbai and received formal training at Actor Prepares the prestigious acting institute founded by Anupam Kher. Alongside his training he actively participated in theatre,short films, and independent projects, shaping himself as a performance-oriented actor.
Breaking Through on Television
Adnan’s career witnessed a major breakthrough in 2018 when he was cast as Maulwi Kabeer Ahmed in Zee TV’s Ishq Subhan Allah. The show addressed the sensitive issue of Triple Talaq and Adnan’s dignified emotionally balanced performance received wide appreciation.
His portrayal earned him the Indian Telly Award for Fresh New Face – Male firmly establishing him as a promising actor on Indian television. The show enjoyed a successful run and marked an important phase in his career.
From 2022 to 2023 Adnan portrayed Viaan Raghuvanshi in Sony TV’s Katha Ankahee an Indian adaptation of a popular Turkish drama. His restrained performance and emotional depth struck a chord with audiences and his on-screen chemistry with Aditi Sharma was widely praised.
In 2024 he appeared in Pracchand Ashok. Since 2025 Adnan has been seen playing Vikrant Saluja in Colors TV’s Mannat – Har Khushi Paane Ki where his layered performance has once again connected strongly with viewers.
He made his web debut with ALTBalaji’s Hai Taubba as Giri Raj and also appeared in music videos such as Mera Aapki Kripa Se and Mainu Ishq Nahi Karna showcasing different performance and screen presence.
Adnan’s work in short films brought him international recognition. He starred in The Rage – Over Injustice which was screened at the Cannes Film Festival and later released digitally.
His most acclaimed performance came in the dystopian short film Mera Number Kab Aageya set in a future where childbirth requires government approval. The film won over 25 international awards and Adnan received the Best Actor Award at the NexGn International Short Film Festival reinforcing him as powerful performer beyond mainstream television.
Life Beyond the Camera
Adnan Khan prefers to keep his personal life private. Outside camera he is deeply invested in creative writing and enjoys writing short stories, poems, and monologues. Theatre continues to play an important role in his artistic journey.
