Adrija Roy is one of the most promising young artists in Indian television. From being a national-level sprinter to becoming a well-known face in Bengali and Hindi serials her journey reflects determination and steady growth.
Adrija Roy was born on 4 July 1999 in Kolkata West Bengal. She is the only child of Ananda Roy and Gita Roy. Her parents supported her interest in sports and she grew up as a committed athlete. During college Adrija realised that her true passion lay in acting.
Before entering the entertainment industry Adrija was a national-level sprinter who represented West Bengal. Her discipline focus and dedication from sports later contributed to her work ethic in acting. Her uncle Aditya Roy who is also an actor encouraged and guided her as she explored her acting aspirations.
In 2022 she moved from Kolkata to Mumbai to pursue broader opportunities.
Adrija began her acting journey in 2016 with the Bengali TV show Bedini Moluar Kotha.
Her major breakthrough came with the hit show Potol Kumar Gaanwala where she played Subhaga. Audiences appreciated her work and she soon became a familiar name in Bengali television.
She went on to appear in several Bengali serials, including Durga Durgeshwari, Jai Kali Kalkattawali, Mou Er Bari, and Bikram Betal.
Adrija has also worked in Bengali films and web series expanding her creative experience.
In February 2023 Adrija made her Hindi TV debut with Durga Aur Charu on Colors TV playing the lead role of Charu Roy Chaudhary Banerjee.
In September 2023 she took on one of the most significant roles of her career Imlie Rana Reddy in Star Plus show Imlie opposite Sai Ketan Rao. Her performance received appreciation until the show concluded in May 2024.
Afterward she joined Kundali Bhagya replacing Sana Sayyad as Dr. Palki Khurana alongside Baseer Ali and Paras Kalnawat.
In late 2024 Adrija became part of Star Plus Anupama replacing Alisha Parveen to play Raahi (Aadhya) Kapadia Kothari opposite Shivam Khajuria. Her entry added a fresh dynamic and viewers received her warmly.
