The dynamic actor Ajay Devgn is showing no signs of slowing down, quickly transitioning from the rugged action of his latest project, ‘Ranger,’ to the intense psychological thriller world of ‘Drishyam 3.’ The actor recently concluded the shoot for the action-adventure film ‘Ranger’ in the scenic surroundings of Palghar, Maharashtra, and is immediately plunging into the next, highly anticipated chapter of the ‘Drishyam’ franchise.

The final leg of ‘Ranger,’ an action-adventure film directed by Jagan Shakti, was successfully wrapped up in Palghar. Interestingly, the initial plan for this last schedule was to shoot in the forests of international locations like Thailand and Sri Lanka. However, due to unforeseen circumstances, specifically a cyclone that impacted Sri Lanka, the filmmakers made a quick decision to relocate the shoot to India. They chose the picturesque and fitting locations within the Tungareshwar Wildlife Sanctuary and Phansad Wildlife Sanctuary in the Palghar district of Maharashtra to complete the remaining portions.

In ‘Ranger,’ Ajay Devgn takes on the role of a forest officer, facing off against the antagonist, reportedly played by Sanjay Dutt, who is intent on illegally exploiting the jungle’s natural resources. The film also features Tamannaah Bhatia in a key role. Having completed his duties as the forest officer, Devgn is now ready to change gears and revisit his most iconic character.

Ajay Devgn is set to reprise his role as the clever and protective family man, Vijay Salgaonkar, in ‘Drishyam 3,’ marking the final installment of the immensely successful suspense thriller franchise. The film is scheduled to officially commence shooting on December 15 in Mumbai.

This initial schedule for ‘Drishyam 3’ is expected to be a short, intense 10-day period focused primarily on indoor scenes. The shoot, taking place in Mumbai, will see the return of other pivotal cast members, including the formidable Tabu and the sharp Akshaye Khanna. The production is aiming to shoot until the Christmas holiday before taking a break to celebrate the New Year.

The director of the previous blockbuster, Drishyam 2 (2022), Abhishek Pathak, will once again be at the helm to direct the third part. The plan is to resume filming in the first week of 2026, with the team targeting to wrap up the entire shoot by April 2026.

The film is one of the most awaited releases in Bollywood, promising to bring a dramatic and perhaps conclusive end to the saga of Vijay Salgaonkar and his family. The return of this core cast, under the direction of Pathak, ensures continuity and high stakes for the final chapter. To know such updates, stay tuned to tellyboosters.com Thank you!
