Today’s episode begins with Vasundhara telling Anupama not to misunderstand her but she loves her granddaughter a lot. She says the baby is God’s blessing for their family. The house received this happiness after many difficulties. Vasundhara admits that she knows Anupama loves the baby very much but the things the priest said have frightened her. She adds that if the priest’s warning had pointed toward someone else even then her heart would have trembled.
Hasmukh tells Vasundhara that no one can escape God’s plan. Vasundhara agrees and says maybe she could be wrong, but if they remain careful for a few days there is no harm in it. She adds that if the priest was talking about someone’s shadow and if it is not Anupama’s shadow then within 72 hours a new auspicious sign will appear.
Family Supports Anupama
Rahi tells Vasundhara that Anupama is like a Goddess and wherever she goes she takes away people’s pain and troubles upon herself. Therefore, there cannot be anything inauspicious about her. Prem also supports Anupama. He says he respects Vasundhara but that does not mean they should become superstitious. Raja and Pari agree and say that Anupama has always been lucky for them. Prem reminds everyone that even Vasundhara’s temple was saved because of Anupama.
Rahi adds that there is so much power even in Anupama’s shadow that it can defeat evil. She says Vasundhara should actually tell Anupama to always keep the baby close to her heart.
However Vasundhara refuses saying she cannot take any risk with her granddaughter.
Parag Tries to Calm the Situation
Parag asks Vasundhara to calm down and says nothing will happen to the baby. He says he has complete faith in God and they cannot make such big decisions just because a priest said something.
He explains that the baby has her own destiny and there is no such thing as a good or bad shadow. Vasundhara gets upset and tells Parag not to lecture her. She reminds him that once she says something, she never goes back on her words.
Anupama calmly tells Vasundhara that she understands a grandmother’s fear when it comes to a child. The two then argue about astrology and destiny..Vasundhara says destiny exists which is why a child’s kundali is made immediately after birth.
Anupama agrees that destiny exists but she explains what destiny actually means. She says destiny is related to the karma of previous lives. Astrology can only tell the movement of planets and what might happen in the future but it cannot determine a person’s actions. She adds that good deeds can change destiny and even rewrite fate.
Anupama clarifies that she is not asking for the baby to be given to her. She simply wants Vasundhara to stay cautious but not worried. She says if Vasundhara gets peace by following the priest’s advice she will stay away from the baby for three days.
Prarthana Refuses to Separate the Baby from Anupama
Prarthana immediately protests and says she will not let the baby stay away from Anupama even for three minutes..She says Anupama always prays for everyone’s well-being and cannot even think badly about anyone especially her great-granddaughter.
Ansh tells Vasundhara that the parents care about a child the most and they know that the baby is safest in Anupama’s arms. Anupama stops Ansh from arguing. Prarthana reminds Vasundhara that baby is her great-granddaughter. but first she is her daughter. She asks her to return the baby.
After hesitation Vasundhara finally gives the baby to Prarthana. Prarthana then hands the baby to Anupama saying that Anupama is auspicious. Anupama takes the baby breaks down in tears and blesses her.
Anupama Reassures Vasundhara
Anupama looks at Vasundhara and reminds her that Holi is approaching and God will protect the baby. She says doubting destiny is like disrespecting God’s grace..Anupama asks Vasundhara to believe that God will not let anything bad happen. She promises that everyone will remain careful for the next three days.
However internally Anupama remembers her disturbing dream and thinks that even if she has to die she will not let anything happen to the baby.
Holika Dahan Preparations Begin
Meanwhile Parag says only he and the baby are ready for Holika Dahan. While walking, he accidentally ruins the rangoli. Rahi says it is the baby’s first Holi and she will not let anyone spoil the festival.
Prem comes and kisses Rahi. Rahi reminds him that Parag is standing nearby. The two start teasing each other. Prem says he will not play Holi unless Rahi applies the color of love on him first.Prerna overhears their conversation and smirks.
Parag’s Funny Rule About Holding the Baby
The Kotharis prepare to celebrate Holika. Ansh asks Parag to let him hold the baby but Parag refuses. He jokingly asks if Ansh has filled the paperwork. Anil jokes that Parag has decided that anyone who wants to hold the baby must first submit an application form and only then will Parag decide.Everyone laughs. Parag declares that no one except him will hold the baby.
Vasundhara asks Hasmukh where Anupama is. He says Anupama is filling out the London visa application form. Vasundhara secretly hopes that it takes so long that Anupama does not arrive today..However.Anupama soon arrives and asks Parag to give the baby to her.
Parag jokes that the queue is long. Anupama confidently replies that the queue begins wherever she stands.
Parag hands the baby to Anupama but Vasundhara immediately takes her saying it is the baby’s first Holi and she will perform the Holi ritual with the baby. Meanwhile Toshu tells Pakhi that Anupama should become famous and earn money.
The Kotharis and Shahs discuss the story of Holika. Hasmukh explains that the story teaches people to trust God’s plan. They begin the Holika Dahan ritual. During the ceremony Anupama remembers Anuj. Suddenly the lights go out.
Pari Confronts Prerna
In the darkness Pari notices Prerna trying to create distance between Rahi and Prem. Vasundhara says that whatever is asked sincerely during Holika Dahan is granted by God. Everyone makes their wishes.
Anupama prays for Dance Rani’s success family happiness, Hasmukh and Leela’s health and the baby’s safety. Prem prays for Rahi’s happiness and wishes that her love always remains his. Prerna admits she does not know what is right or wrong anymore but she wants Prem at any cost.
As Prerna walks away she mutters that if she does not get Prem she will go mad. Pari confronts her and warns that she will never get what she wants. She reminds Prerna that Prem and Rahi love each other and are destined to be together. Pari warns Prerna to remain a friend and not try to become a rival. If she even tries to think about Prem Pari will reveal everything to everyone including Anupama. Anupama arrives and asks what happened.
Prerna quickly lies and says Pari was just giving her feedback on her cooking. Anupama feels they are hiding something.
Chaos During Holika Dahan
Vasundhara continues trying to ensure Anupama does not hold the baby. Parag asks Prem to perform the Holika ritual. After the pooja Parag and Anil start playing the dhol and everyone begins dancing.
Prerna watches Prem and Rahi together and feels extremely jealous. Anupama prays that no evil eye falls on their love. While dancing Rahi takes the baby but suddenly loses her balance and is about to fall into the fire. At that moment Prerna saves Rahi. However Prerna’s dupatta catches fire. Anupama quickly saves Prerna. Anupama thanks Prerna.
Vasundhara Blames Anupama
Vasundhara immediately takes the baby from Rahi. Rahi asks Prerna how she ended up near the fire. Pari suspects that Prerna created the situation intentionally. Rahi blames herself for being careless .Parag says it was just an accident and asks everyone to forget it and stay careful in the future.
But Vasundhara again claims that the priest’s warning was correct and says they should not have invited Anupama. Hasmukh points out that the baby was not even with Anupama when the incident happened. He adds that Prerna saved Rahi and Anupama saved Prerna.
Leela also criticizes Vasundhara for blaming Anupama unnecessarily. Parag says the most important thing is that the baby is safe and festivals are meant for happiness not arguments.
Rahi hugs Prerna and thanks her for saving her life. She says she has many relationships in life but never had a true friendship and today she feels she has gained one. Rahi promises that if Prerna ever needs anything she can ask for it even if it costs her life. Anupama says true friendship is very rare and should be cherished.
Prerna says that Rahi and Prem’s relationship is very important to her and she will not let it go at any cost. Pari becomes worried. Anupama silently asks Pari what happened and Pari nods indicating something is wrong.
Anil Parag invites everyone to the Holi celebration. Parag personally invites Anupama and says that Holi will not be celebrated if she does not attend. Anupama agrees.
Leela Raises Doubts About Prerna
Later Anupama feels worried about the baby but reassures herself that everything will be fine. Leela asks Anupama when the baby will come to stay with them. Kinjal says the baby’s arrival will bring happiness to everyone. Leela wonders how long the baby will stay with the Kotharis. Toshu begins questioning the situation, but Kinjal, Anupama and Leela stop him.
Anupama says that even though the baby may have more wealth there she will receive more love here. Leela then questions how long Prerna will stay in the Kothari house. Anupama asks why. Leela says Prerna has relatives and a home of her own and should stay there. Anupama reminds her of how Prerna saved Rahi earlier.
Leela says she always felt something was suspicious about Prerna and warns that keeping a young girl in the house without any relationship can bring trouble. She also says Rahi is like Anupama and might become too trusting of Prerna. Anupama replies that they are friends. But Leela warns that sometimes friendships are what set a house on fire.
Anupama remains confident and says nothing bad will happen and tomorrow’s Holi will be happy.
Precap: Anupama and Rahi celebrate Holi together. Rahi asks if Anupama has seen Prem. While searching for him Anupama sees Prerna asking Prem to apply color to her first as she confesses her love.
Anupama is reminded of past betrayals involving Kavya, Vanraj, and Maya and fears that history might repeat itself in Rahi’s life.Both Anupama and Rahi are left shocked after seeing Prem and Prerna together.
