Today’s episode begins with Digvijay singing a song for Anupama to cheer her up. The Shahs and the Kotharis are left shocked seeing this gesture. Anupama thanks Digvijay for trying to make her feel better.
Party Guest Mistakes Anupama and Digvijay as a Couple
A lady at the party comments that Anupama and Digvijay look like the perfect couple. Everyone gets shocked hearing this. She praises Digvijay for singing such a beautiful song for Anupama and says that after meeting them for the first time itself she can tell they are made for each other. She even says Anupama is the luckiest woman and prays that God keeps their pair together forever.
Digvijay immediately clarifies that she misunderstood the situation because he and Anupama are not a couple. However the woman ask them and says that if they are not a couple now they might become one later because they look so good together.
Anupama also explains that there is nothing like that between them. The lady then asks who Digvijay is to Anupama if they are not husband and wife. Anupama replies that they work together. Pakhi adds that they are partners but only professionally while Toshu says they are just good friends.
Woman Questions Anupama’s Friendship with Digvijay
Another woman raises questions about their friendship and says that a man and woman can never just be friends. She taunts Anupama and says that at this age she should be doing prayers instead of making male friends.
Anupama gives a strong reply and asks whether the woman has a problem with friendship or with age. She says people do not have a problem with age or friendship but with a friendship between a man and a woman. To defend herself Anupama mentions that Lord Krishna and Draupadi were also friends. The lady says Anupama should not use Lord Krishna as a shield for her actions. Anupama replies that Lord Krishna himself is the shield.
The woman further taunts Leela and says Anupama has become too sharp-tongued. She says she comes there only to maintain her friendship with leela . Anupama responds that if she understands the meaning of friendship then why is she questioning her friendship.
Anupama Gives a Strong Reply
woman asks the Anupama whether she would tolerate it if Hasmukh became friends with another woman because society refuses to accept friendship between a man and a woman.
The lady then insults Anupama even more and says that instead of behaving like a grandmother at this age she is trying to settle down again with another man. Anupama firmly tells her that she should not enter someone else’s house and create a scene like this. Ansh supports Anupama and says people should first look at themselves before pointing fingers at others. The woman complains that she was invited only to be insulted. Hasmukh reminds her that she was insulting Anupama first.
The woman decides to leave the party and says she will never return. Anupama stops her and requests her not to spoil Leela’s birthday because of this argument. She says she can taunt or scold her later if she wants but the birthday celebration should not be ruined.
However the lady blames Anupama for spoiling the atmosphere and walks out angrily. Hasmukh’s friends also leave the party.
Vasundhara Adds Fuel to the Fire
Vasundhara takes advantage of the situation and says that all the guests have now left because of Anupama. Hasmukh tries to calm things down and tells Leela that guests leaving is not important because the family is still together.
Anupama apologizes to Leela and says the atmosphere became ugly because of the argument. She suggests lighting a diya before God to make the environment peaceful again. But Leela gets furious and asks Anupama why she even came if she had to ruin her birthday. She says this is not how birthdays are celebrated. Anupama reminds Leela that she herself always says people should not take outsiders opinions to heart. Leela replies that she is not hurt by what the outsider woman said but by what Anupama said in return.
Vasundhara Questions Anupama and Digvijay’s Bond
Vasundhara interferes again and says the woman at the party was not wrong. Rahi becomes scared that once again her in-laws and maternal family will clash because of Anupama.
Vasundhara reminds everyone that earlier Anupama had kept another man in her house and now Digvijay is also staying near her. She even mentions that Anupama and Digvijay were together in Goa as well. She says people in Ahmedabad know everything and will obviously create stories about them.
Anupama asks Vasundhara to stay quiet for some time and let her talk to Leela. But Vasundhara says their friendship has already become a story in society. Anupama replies that no story exists between her and Digvijay but Vasundhara wants to create one.
Leela Blames Anupama
Leela supports Vasundhara and says she is speaking the truth. Hasmukh defends Anupama and says Leela is angry only because her birthday got ruined.
Leela says Hasmukh never sees Anupama’s mistakes and always supports her. She complains that her guests insulted Anupama and left while everyone expected her to stay silent. Vasundhara says Anupama has responsibilities toward her children grandchildren and family so maintaining friendship with an unrelated man does not look good. Though she believes Anupama may not have bad intentions society will definitely assume there is love between them.
Anupama says if she starts living according to what society thinks then society will never stop talking. She says both she and Digvijay know their limits and her loved ones know her character very well.
Anupama Breaks Down While Defending Herself
Shruti thinks that because of Anupama Rahi’s married life may become difficult. Anupama emotionally says society has questioned her many times before too but every time society was proven wrong.
She asks whether anyone has ever seen bad intentions in her heart or a stain on her character. Then why does she always have to always to prove herself?. Toshu rudely says she should stop doing things that force her to give such explanations. Pakhi also supports society’s questions and says people will obviously talk when things look suspicious.
Gautam also joins them and says Anupama’s actions themselves are questionable. Toshu says he feels ashamed to call Anupama his mother. Anupama replies that if he feels ashamed then he should stop calling her his mother but nobody should drag Anuj’s name into this matter.
Pakhi cruelly brings up Vanraj, Anuj, Raghav and now Digvijay one after another. Anupama gets emotional and says people can insult her as much as they want but no one has the right to disrespect Anuj.
Shruti Questions Anupama’s Love for Anuj
Shruti says she knows Anupama and Digvijay are just good friends but this is not the United States where society easily accepts such relationships. She reminds Anupama that when she lived with Anuj in the US nobody questioned her there.
Anupama proudly replies that she is a daughter of India and understands her values very well. She says people in America never questioned why she was living with Anuj or why Anuj eventually returned to her. Shruti then says Anupama easily forgot Anuj and handed over his dream Anu Ki Rasoi into someone else’s hands. This deeply hurts Anupama.
Anupama Declares Her Eternal Love for Anuj
Anupama removes Rahi’s hand from Shruti and says if Shruti wants to fight with her then she can fight directly instead of dragging Anuj into this matter.
She emotionally declares that Anuj is above all these accusations. She says unfortunately Shruti never truly understood her relationship with Anuj despite living in her house for so long. Anupama says while people chant God’s name she chants Anuj’s name because Anuj lives in every breath, memory, happiness, pain and tear of her life. She says she belonged to Anuj still belongs to him and always will. Their names and hearts are connected forever. Therefore completing Anuj’s dream is only between her and Anuj and outsiders should not interfere.
Anupama explains that she went to Goa because of Devika and there she met Digvijay through destiny. She reveals that even before meeting her Digvijay had met Anuj in the US and Anuj was the first person to donate money for Savi’s cafe. She says no matter how much her life changes Anuj will always remain the center of her world. Digvijay’s daughter’s dream cafe and Anuj’s trust together became the foundation of the new project.
Anupama emotionally says she is only trying to fulfill her husband’s dream but people are questioning her character for it. She warns everyone not to drag Anuj’s name into such filthy discussions again.
Rahi Crosses All Limits Against Anupama
Rahi tells Anupama that Anuj’s name is not a shield behind which she can hide her mistakes. She accuses Anupama of staining Anuj’s memory by constantly taking his name. Anupama is heartbroken hearing this.
Rahi says she initially thought Digvijay was a good man but now she feels he is taking advantage of Anupama emotionally. She questions why Digvijay never asked the family before becoming close to Anupama and accuses him of using a lonely woman for his own benefit.
Vasundhara secretly enjoys watching Rahi speak against Anupama and tells Gautam that Rahi looks best when she opposes her mother. Rahi questions Digvijay about opening his cafe near Anupama’s house instead of somewhere else if it is truly only about business.
Khyaati reminds Rahi that Anupama already explained everything but Rahi says she wants to know Digvijay’s true intentions. She further taunts Anupama and says every few months a new male friend enters her life despite her claims that she does not need support from anyone.
Digvijay Defends Anupama
Digvijay calmly says Rahi can insult him as much as she wants but she has no right to disrespect her mother.
Rahi angrily asks him who he is to teach her how to speak to her own mother because he is not her father. Digvijay reveals that he was Anuj’s friend and had met Rahi earlier in the US as well. He reminds her that she and Savi were once good friends too. He says he can at least ask her to respect Anupama because of his friendship with Anuj.
Digvijay then exposes the truth about Shruti and Anuj’s relationship. He says Shruti loved Anuj but Anuj never gave her false hope and never replaced Anupama with anyone. Shruti is left shocked after hearing this truth publicly.
Digvijay’s Emotional Confession
Digvijay apologizes to Leela and says neither he nor anupama is at fault. He says fate is responsible because it snatched away his dream. He explains that Savi’s cafe is the only reason he is still surviving emotionally but he is not selfish enough to tolerate her insults and humiliation for its sake.
Leela sarcastically asks him that if everyone in the family is so bad then why is he opening his café near their house.
Prem Accuses Anupama of Jealousy
Prem says because Anupama is jealous of him. He claims that when the inspection happened at his restaurant Anupama must have realized that he achieved success in something she could never do for years. Therefore she got his restaurant shut down even before it properly opened.
Anupama is shocked by the accusation and reminds him that the inspection decision was not hers alone because two other people were also present during the process. But Prem refuses to listen and says she wants to prove herself better than everyone in the family. Anupama is shocked
Precap: Rahi tells Anupama that she can never stay peacefully unless the entire world keeps focusing only on her. She accuses her of attracting men’s attention whenever the family ignores her. Digvijay asks Rahi to behave properly with Anupama but Rahi says it looks like Anupama has replaced Anuj with Digvijay.
Unable to tolerate the insult anymore Anupama slaps Rahi hard. Anupama says she feels disgusted that Rahi forgot Anuj’s upbringing and started speaking such filthy things. She emotionally declares that she is not a bad mother but Rahi has become a bad daughter.
