Acclaimed filmmaker Atlee, the mastermind behind the 2023 global blockbuster Jawan, has once again set the internet ablaze with updates on his star-studded future projects. In a recent candid interaction, the director showered high praise on Deepika Padukone, labeling her his “lucky charm,” while providing much-needed clarity on the swirling rumors regarding Don 3 and a potential reunion with Shah Rukh Khan.
Speaking about his upcoming mega-project tentatively titled AA22xA6, which stars Telugu icon Allu Arjun, Atlee couldn’t hide his excitement about working with Deepika Padukone for the second time. The duo previously collaborated on Jawan, where her extended cameo was hailed as one of the film’s emotional anchors.
“Yes, she’s my lucky charm,” Atlee stated. “This is my second film with Deepika, and she is just wonderful to work with—unbelievable, really. You are going to see a very different Deepika this time.”

On Jawan 2 the director said While a sequel isn’t off the table forever, it isn’t happening immediately. Atlee explained that he and SRK will definitely work together again, but only when the right idea comes “organically.”
The director also shared that his current focus is entirely on the Allu Arjun-starrer. He revealed that the production team is spending “sleepless nights” to ensure the film meets the massive expectations of a global audience. The project is rumored to be a two-part sci-fi action entertainer involving parallel universes and ground-breaking VFX.
