Popular Bollywood actress and dancer Nora Fatehi has landed in legal trouble after charter company Dunes Aviation filed a ₹3 crore civil defamation suit against her in a Gandhinagar court. The dispute stems from videos recorded by the actress inside a Cessna Citation CJ2 aircraft during a flight from Mumbai to Jaipur, which she subsequently shared with her vast social media audience.
In those posts, Nora reportedly called the chartered vessel a “miniature,” a “toy,” and a “Lego airplane”. The charter agency argues that such casual commentary severely harmed its public reputation and led to measurable financial damage, prompting them to seek legal recourse for civil damages.
According to the legal filing, the company alleges that Nora Fatehi made derogatory and irresponsible claims without possessing any technical aviation knowledge, safety verification, or factual backing.
Dunes Aviation maintains that the chartered aircraft involved was completely airworthy, fully certified by the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA), and legally operated under a Non-Scheduled Operator’s Permit. They emphasized that the plane was perfectly sized and standard for the short-haul route taken by the star, refuting any implication that the vessel was unsafe or inadequate.
The charter operator highlighted the immense impact of Nora’s online reach, pointing out that her massive fan base amplified the negative comments and directly hit their business operations.
The firm claimed in court documents that her viral posts triggered a wave of client cancellations and caused an estimated 15 to 20 percent decline in overall bookings. In addition to monetary compensation of ₹3 crore, Dunes Aviation is asking the court to order the immediate removal of all related online content and mandate a public clarification from the actress. The matter is scheduled to be heard before a senior civil judge in Gandhinagar as the legal process moves forward.
