Deepika officially launched “The OnSet Program,” a mentorship and learning platform designed specifically for talented newcomers and aspiring technicians.
This initiative is the next chapter of her “Create With Me” platform. While her previous projects focused on general creativity and mental well-being, OnSet is a more “hands-on” experiential program. It aims to bridge the gap between having talent and getting a real break in the competitive worlds of film, television, and advertising.
The program isn’t just for actors; it covers a wide range of essential “behind-the-scenes” roles, including direction and writing, cinematography and lighting, editing and Sound Design, art direction and costume design and Makeup and hair styling
Deepika shared a heartfelt video on Instagram to mark the occasion. In it, she mentioned that as she reached this milestone age, she felt a strong desire to support the very industry that has given her so much over the last two decades. She expressed that her goal is to identify incredible talent from all corners of the country and give them a platform where they can be “seen, heard, and experienced.”
Beyond the big announcement, Deepika’s 40th has been about connecting with the people who supported her journey. A few days prior, she hosted an intimate “Day of Gratitude” fan meet in Mumbai, where she personally curated gift hampers and even arranged travel for some of her long-time followers.
