Premiering on 27th December airing every Saturday-Sunday at 8 PM on COLORS the show promises an unmatched dose of “serpentertainment“. Priyanka Chahar Choudhary who leads the series as the season’s Naagin opens up about her journey and what lies ahead.
1. Naagin is one of Ekta Kapoor’s most iconic fantasy franchises with legendary names like Mouni Roy, Hina Khan, Surbhi Jyoti, Anita Hassanandani, Nia Sharma, Surbhi Chandna, Tejasswi Prakash, and Adaa Khan having headlined earlier seasons. How does it feel to continue this legacy?
Priyanka: Honestly it feels surreal This is like a dream beautifully coming true. Ekta ma’am had promised me during Bigg Boss 16 that I would be her next Naagin and the fact that she kept her word means everything to me. It’s my first project with Balaji Telefilms and reuniting with COLORS makes it even more special. Naagin has always been a path-breaking show and being chosen to take its legacy ahead feels both thrilling and deeply emotional. Every Naagin before me has made history and I hope to add my own flavour while respecting what this franchise stands for.
2. Tell us about the essence of Naagin 7.
Priyanka: This season takes Naagin to a completely different scale. It’s not just about personal revenge or romance anymore. The story revolves around a girl who never asked for this destiny but is chosen to guard a legacy larger than herself. When an ancient force rises to combat a new darkness her journey becomes one of courage, identity, and purpose. Packed with mythology, magic, fierce challenges, and unseen mystical beings Naagin 7 is set to be one of the most powerful and gripping chapters of the franchise.
3. What can you share about your character?
Priyanka: I play a gentle innocent girl who is unaware of the strength she carries within. I truly resonate with her softness her inner courage and the emotional transformation she undergoes. As the plot unfolds she discovers that she belongs to the mighty Vasuki Dynasty and is destined to confront terrifying forces threatening the world. She fights not just for power but for people love and an entire universe. Even as she becomes a fierce Naagin her humanity never fades and portraying that delicate balance has been beautiful.
4. What excites you the most about Naagin 7?
Priyanka: What truly excites me is how grand refreshing and ambitious this season feels. The storytelling is layered the visuals are larger-than-life and the stakes are unbelievably high. This time the conflict isn’t limited we’re talking about a massive supernatural threat. The introduction of new mystical beings, including fiery, powerful dragons, adds an entirely new dimension to the fantasy world. Personally I can’t wait for my fans especially those who supported me during Bigg Boss to witness this new chapter with me.
5. How has your experience been with the team and co-stars?
Priyanka: We began filming about a month ago and it’s been nothing short of magical. There was excitement, nervousness and then this overwhelming warmth from the entire team which instantly made me feel at home. Working in a fantasy world is fascinating you’re reacting to storms, creatures, and transformations that aren’t physically present yet you have to make them feel real. My co-stars bring amazing energy and the on-set vibe is so positive and creatively charged that even challenging shoot days feel enjoyable.
6. What has changed for you after joining Naagin 7?
Priyanka: Being part of Naagin 7 has deepened my connection with the fantasy genre. I’ve realised how much imagination, dedication, and precision go into creating something like this. I’ve grown to admire the writers technicians, VFX artists, and every creative mind behind the show. Ever since I signed the show I’ve started going to a nag mandir every morning it’s become a grounding ritual that keeps me centred. This journey has strengthened my faith, discipline, and respect for the unseen energies that shape such massive creations.
7. How has it been working with Ekta Kapoor?
Priyanka:Working with Ekta ma’am is truly a blessing. She is fearless, visionary, and endlessly inspiring. What I love most is how she knows exactly what she wants yet gives her actors the freedom to explore their characters emotionally. Being part of a world that she has built one that continues to excite and amaze audiences feels like an honour. Every conversation with her motivates me to push myself harder and discover new layers within me.
8. Any message for viewers?
Priyanka: Naagin 7 is going to be an emotional, thrilling rollercoaster filled with surprises, intensity, and heartfelt moments. It’s about courage, destiny, and embracing one’s true power. I truly hope the audience showers this season with love and connects deeply with our story. I’m eagerly waiting to build a strong bond with viewers through this journey.
