Harshad Chopda was born on 17 May 1983 (age 42) in Gondia Maharashtra into a Marwari family originally belonging to Balotra in Rajasthan.He completed his schooling at Rabindranath Tagore School and later pursued Computer Engineering from PES Modern College of Engineering Pune. Even though his parents initially did not support his acting dreams Harshad’s passion and dedication led him to Mumbai after completing his studies where destiny opened the doors to television.

Acting Journey

Harshad began his acting career in 2006 with Mamta as Karan Srivastav marking the start of a remarkable journey. He gained attention with his role as Cadet Ali Baig in Left Right Left followed by Amber Dhara where he played Akshat Mehra.

His real breakthrough came 2008 with Prem Juneja in Kis Desh Mein Hai Meraa Dil a role that made him a nationwide sensation. He further strengthened his stardom with Anurag Ganguly in Tere Liye winning major awards and massive audience love.

From 2011 to 2012 Harshad played the role of Mohan Gala in NDTV Imagine’s Dharampatni opposite Aasiya Kazi. In 2012 he impressed viewers again as Raghav Singh in Life OK’s Dil Se Di Dua Saubhagyavati Bhava? alongside Sriti Jha where his strong screen presence was highly appreciated. Later he appeared in Sony TV’s Humsafars as Sahir Azeem Chaudhary opposite Shivya Pathania.

In 2017 he stepped into films with 2016 The End.

Television Breakthrough

In 2018 Harshad delivered one of the most memorable performances of his career as Aditya Hooda in Bepannaah opposite Jennifer Winget. His raw emotions sharp intensity and natural performance earned massive praise from critics and audiences along with major awards.

Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai ( 2021 to 2023) he portrayed Dr. Abhimanyu Birla. The role made him one of the most celebrated TV heroes of this era. He won four consecutive ITA Best Actor (Popular) Awards proving his unmatched dominance. He also appeared in hit music projects like Juda Kar Diya and the musical series Aakhiri Mulaqaat.

Harshad took on the role of Rishabh Kapoor in Bade Achhe Lagte Hain 4 opposite Shivangi Joshi. Playing a mysterious, layered, emotionally guarded man, he once again proved why he remains one of television’s finest performers.
