Bollywood superstar Hrithik Roshan has joined the growing list of admirers for Vishal Bhardwaj’s latest cinematic offering, O Romeo. Taking to social media on Friday, the Fighter actor shared a glowing review of the romantic action-thriller, specifically highlighting the “quirky” genius of the filmmaker and the powerhouse performance of lead actor Shahid Kapoor.
The film, which hit theaters on February 13, marks the fourth collaboration between Bhardwaj and Kapoor, following their critically acclaimed work in Kaminey, Haider, and Rangoon.

O Romeo is inspired by a chapter from Hussain Zaidi’s book Mafia Queens of Mumbai. It tells the gritty tale of Hussain Ustara (played by Shahid Kapoor), a lethal hitman who handles a barber’s razor with deadly precision. The story follows his volatile journey through the Mumbai underworld and his complex relationship with Afshan (played by Triptii Dimri).
Director Vishal Bhardwaj, who also composed the music for the film, described the project as a deeply personal exploration of the human capacity for both extreme violence and incandescent love. Despite receiving mixed reviews from critics, the film has maintained a steady pace at the box office, recently crossing the ₹60 crore mark worldwide.
