The much-anticipated historical epic Raja Shivaji, which features Riteish Deshmukh in the titular role and as director, has continued its impressive run at the box office as it completed its fifth day in theaters. After a massive opening weekend that saw the film breaking several regional records, the movie has managed to maintain a solid grip even during the crucial weekdays. According to the latest industry reports, the film earned approximately ₹4.90 crore on its first Tuesday, showing a very minimal drop from its Monday collection of ₹5.60 crore. This stability in numbers indicates a strong word-of-mouth among the audience and a deep interest in the cinematic portrayal of the legendary Maratha warrior.

With the addition of Tuesday’s earnings, the total domestic net collection for the film has now surged past the ₹44.40 crore mark, while the gross collections across India have comfortably crossed ₹52.68 crore. The film’s performance is particularly noteworthy in Maharashtra, where the Marathi version continues to dominate the screens, though the Hindi dubbed version is also contributing significantly to the overall revenue. Released on the occasion of Maharashtra Day, the movie opened with ₹11.35 crore and saw a peak on Sunday with ₹12 crore. Despite the natural dip that comes after the weekend, Raja Shivaji has already surpassed the lifetime collections of several previous Marathi blockbusters, making it one of the fastest-growing films in the history of Marathi cinema.

The star-studded ensemble cast, which includes Sanjay Dutt as Afzal Khan, Abhishek Bachchan as Sambhaji Shahaji Bhosale, and Genelia Deshmukh as Saibai, has been a major draw for the public. Fans have also been flocking to theaters to catch the special cameo by Salman Khan, which has added a commercial boost to the historical drama. Produced by Genelia Deshmukh and Jyoti Deshpande, the film has reportedly recovered a significant portion of its ₹75–100 crore budget within just five days. As the film nears the end of its first week, trade analysts predict it will soon cross the ₹50 crore net milestone, potentially becoming Riteish Deshmukh’s highest-grossing Marathi film to date. Amid the commercial success, Riteish recently expressed his gratitude to the fans while requesting them to refrain from recording clips inside the cinema halls to preserve the theatrical experience for others.
