Bollywood actor Ranveer Singh made a high-profile yet low-key visit to the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) headquarters in Nagpur on Friday. The visit, which has sparked significant interest across social media and political circles, included a private meeting with RSS Sarsanghchalak (Chief) Mohan Bhagwat and a tour of the organization’s historical landmarks.

The actor, currently basking in the monumental box-office success of his latest film, Dhurandhar: The Revenge, arrived at the Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar International Airport around 4:00 PM via a chartered flight. Dressed in a simple white kurta-pyjama, Singh’s appearance was a stark departure from his usual flamboyant public persona, signaling the solemnity of the visit.

Upon his arrival, Singh headed straight to the RSS headquarters located in the Mahal area. Sources indicate that he spent approximately 90 minutes within the premises. During this time, he held a closed-door meeting with Mohan Bhagwat. While the official stance from the RSS describes the interaction as a “courtesy call,” reports suggest the duo discussed the actor’s recent work and the cultural impact of Indian cinema.

Singh was also reportedly briefed on the organization’s various social service initiatives and its historical evolution. The interaction included a brief overview of Chitrabharati, the RSS-affiliated body dedicated to promoting Indian values through arts and culture.

Following his meeting with the RSS Chief, Singh traveled to the Reshimbagh area to visit the Dr. Hedgewar Smruti Mandir. The memorial complex is dedicated to the founder of the RSS, Dr. Keshav Baliram Hedgewar, and his successor, M.S. Golwalkar.

The actor offered floral tributes at the memorials (Samadhis) of both leaders. During his time at the complex, RSS functionaries provided Singh with a detailed history of the organization’s inception and the life stories of its early pioneers.

The visit comes at a pivotal time for the actor. His film Dhurandhar 2, directed by Aditya Dhar, recently crossed the ₹1000 crore mark globally. In the film, Singh plays an intelligence agent, a role that has earned him widespread acclaim for its patriotic undertones.

Interestingly, this is not the first time Singh has acknowledged the organization. During the RSS centenary year celebrations on Vijayadashami, the actor had extended his greetings, praising the organization for its century-long service to the nation.

Though the visit was kept largely confidential with tight security, news spread quickly once photos of the actor at the Nagpur airport surfaced. Fans and political commentators have been quick to analyze the move, with many viewing it as a bridge between the Hindi film industry and traditional Indian cultural institutions.

Singh concluded his visit by evening, departing for Mumbai on his private jet around 8:15 PM. Neither the actor’s representatives nor the RSS have issued a formal statement regarding any specific agenda for the meeting, maintaining that it was a personal visit to seek blessings and learn about the organization’s history.
