Filmmaker Sajid Khan has officially returned to the director’s chair after a long hiatus, marking his comeback with a new feature film. According to reports, the project is titled “Hundred” and will serve as the debut vehicle for Yashvardhan Ahuja, the son of Bollywood veteran Govinda.

The film has already piqued industry interest, with reports suggesting that Nitanshi Goel, the breakout star of the critically acclaimed Laapataa Ladies (2024), has been cast as the female lead opposite the debutant.

While Sajid Khan is synonymous with high-energy comedies like Housefull and Heyy Babyy, multiple reports suggest that this new project will see him venturing into the horror-drama genre. This move is being described as a “full circle” moment for the director, whose first stint behind the camera was a segment in the 2006 horror anthology Darna Zaroori Hai.

As per a report by an entertainment website, the cameras began rolling on Friday, January 23, 2026, at Mumbai’s Film City. The production team reportedly chose this specific date to coincide with the auspicious occasion of Basant Panchami.

Yashvardhan Ahuja’s acting debut has been one of the most anticipated star-kid launches in recent years. Before stepping in front of the lens, Yashvardhan spent years learning the ropes of filmmaking by assisting directors on sets like Dishoom and Tadap.

“The pairing of Yashvardhan and Nitanshi is being hailed as a fresh and promising duo,” a source close to the production reportedly stated. “The makers are keen on blending a legacy debut with the grounded, award-winning talent that Nitanshi brings.”

The film is reportedly backed by Amar Butala’s Guilty By Association Media in collaboration with Ekta Kapoor and Shobha Kapoor’s Balaji Telefilms. Butala has a long history of producing hits like Bajrangi Bhaijaan and Kesari, and notably served as an associate producer on Khan’s 2013 film Himmatwala.

This directorial return follows a brief health setback for Khan. In December 2025, reports surfaced that he had suffered a foot fracture while shooting on an Ekta Kapoor set. His sister, filmmaker Farah Khan, recently confirmed that he has fully recovered and is back at work.

With production now in full swing, the film is expected to be a major theatrical release in late 2026 or early 2027. To know such latest updates tuned to tellyboosters.com Thank you!
