Today she stands among the most admired actresses on Indian television inspiring many with her journey of courage, hard work, and unwavering belief in her dreams.

Early Life and Family

Riya Sharma was born on 9 October 1998 (age 27) and raised in Nagpur Maharashtra. She comes from a loving and encouraging family her mother Pratima Sharma who has always supported her artistic ambitions.

Riya was pursuing her graduation when acting opportunities began coming her way. she left her graduation and skipped  her college’s third years final exam choosing her passion she decided to focus completely on acting and stepped confidently toward building her career. Right from childhood Riya was fond of performing. She loved storytelling, stage activities, and acting-related work which gradually shaped her dream of becoming an actress.

Beginning of Her Acting Career

Riya started her television career in 2018 with the comedy show Saat Phero Ki Hera Pherie where she played Chinki Tandon. This role introduced her to the audience and marked the start of her professional journey in television.
In 2020 she appeared in Maharaj Ki Jai Ho! as Sunaina opposite Satyajeet Dubey. Although the show concluded early due to the pandemic Riya’s performance continued to gain appreciation.

Rise to Fame

Riya’s real turning point came with Pinjara Khubsurti Ka where she portrayed Dr. Mayura Dubey Shukla opposite Sahil Uppal. Her emotional depth strong dialogue delivery and the evolution of her character made this role one of the most memorable highlights of her career. Later she also played Mayura Goswami Vashisht in the rebirth track further proving her acting strength.

She then moved into the historical space with Kashibai Bajirao Ballal playing the powerful and graceful character of Kashibai opposite Rohit Chandel. Her performance earned a lot of admiration from viewers and critics. Riya continued to impress audiences by portraying Dr. Tulika in Banni Chow Home Delivery once again showing her versatility.

Riya gained massive love playing Rajkumari Tarapriya Singh in Dhruv Tara-Samay Sadi Se Pare (2023–2024) opposite Ishaan Dhawan. Her royal charm, strong emotions, and impactful presence made her character unforgettable. Since June 2025 Riya has been seen as Jhanak in Star Plus show Jhanak where she continues to impress viewers with her heartfelt performance.

She has also stepped into films making her movie debut with Konman opposite Adhyayan Suman
