The inaugural season of COLORS’ ‘Dhamaal With Pati Patni Aur Panga’ has wrapped up, declaring Rubina Dilaik and Abhinav Shukla as the winners of the coveted ‘Sarvagun Sampann Jodi’ title. This popular reality series proved to be one of the year’s top television hits, significantly bolstering COLORS’ reputation for non-fiction programming.
The show, hosted by Bollywood icon Sonali Bendre and comedian Munawar Faruqui, fearlessly dove into the dynamics of marriage—affectionately known as the “shaadi ka laddoo.” The season was presented by Nivea Body Milk, co-powered by Sugar Free Green, Cadbury Dairy Milk, Pour Home Air Fresheners, Envy Perfumes, L’Oréal Paris Hyaluron Pure, and Amazon Great Indian Festival, with special partners Colgate and HDFC Life.
Seven celebrity couples invited the audience into their lives, taking on challenges designed to explore the real, ridiculous, and romantic facets of their relationships. Over three months, viewers were treated to a full-throttle experience of fun, chaos, and heartwarming moments, culminating in a spectacular grand finale. The jodis renewed their vows dressed as bride and groom, celebrating a union of emotions and a “farewell of egos.”
Rubina Dilaik and Abhinav Shukla’s journey was particularly captivating for long-time followers, offering a never-before-seen glimpse into their partnership. Rubina playfully jabbed at her husband’s engineering background, quipping that “engineers have the poorest quality of romance.” However, Abhinav consistently countered her tease with genuinely thoughtful gestures, such as the memorable story of the birthday bag he bought her during a difficult financial time.
Their blend of chemistry, honesty, humor, and heart helped them successfully navigate the final challenges and secure the trophy, illustrating that true compatibility lies in completing each other.
Reflecting on their win, Rubina and Abhinav shared their appreciation “‘Dhamaal With Pati Patni Aur Panga’ was a wonderful opportunity to focus on our relationship without the distractions of daily life. We, like the other couples, were honest about our flaws, and that was truly liberating. Winning is incredibly special, driven by the viewers’ love and the supportive energy of everyone on the show. We thank COLORS, the creators, Sonali ma’am, and Munawar for their guidance and warmth. Our biggest message is this: Love isn’t about being perfect; it’s about making the choice to stand by each other, even when it’s hardest.”
