After leaving a strong impression with Daldal Aditya Rawal reunites with Amazon Prime Video for its upcoming gritty drama Subedaar. The makers dropped the much-anticipated trailer on Monday offering a raw and unsettling peek into a world driven by violence, power, and vengeance. Headlined by Anil Kapoor the film also features Mona Singh, Saurabh Shukla, Radhikka Madan and Faisal Malik in pivotal roles.
Aditya Rawal delivers a chilling performance as Prince a ruthless and unpredictable mafia heir who thrives on fear and brutality. Playing the younger brother of Didi portrayed by Mona Singh Prince is shown reveling in bloodshed celebrating each kill issuing bone-chilling threats and executing violence with disturbing ease. His methods are savage and merciless establishing him as a force that commands terror rather than respect.
Anil Kapoor steps into the role of Subedaar Arjun Maurya whose path collides with Prince when he is assigned as the latter’s driver. The tension between the two escalates sharply following a provocative remark by Prince setting the stage for a powerful face-off. Radhikka Madan plays Arjun Maurya’s daughter, whose fate appears tragically linked to Prince and his gang adding emotional weight and urgency to the narrative.
The trailer paints Subedaar as a relentless descent into chaos set against a rugged hinterland backdrop filled with brutality, emotional conflict and high-octane action. It promises a nail-biting experience driven by raw performances and gripping confrontations.
What makes Aditya Rawal’s portrayal stand out is his restraint. He doesn’t rely on loud theatrics to assert dominance instead, his piercing gaze, controlled movements and menacing silence do the heavy lifting. His command over the regional dialect adds authenticity making Prince feel disturbingly real. At no point does the actor break character Prince completely takes over the screen.
While Daldal showcased Rawal’s intensity Subedaar sees him push boundaries further diving deeper into darkness and violence. Having earned praise earlier for his realism, the actor seems determined to raise the bar once again promising audiences a more brutal and immersive performance.
Directed by Suresh Triveni and produced by Vikram Malhotra, Anil Kapoor and Suresh Triveni Subedaar is set to premiere on Amazon Prime Video on March 5.
