Yesterday, on November 10th, speculations related to veteran actor Dharmendra’s health spread all over the internet, allegedly claiming deteriorating health and that he was rushed to the hospital due to complaints of breathlessness.

It’s not the first time this rumor has spread; earlier in the start of the month on November 1, the same kind of news was to be heard. But this time, Dharmendar’s daughter Esha Deol took it to the internet and has clarified that the news is false as of 9:10 am on November 11 (Tuesday).
Esha Deol’s Statement
The post she shared on social media read, “The media seems to be in overdrive and spreading false news. My father is stable and recovering,” she wrote.
She slammed the media for spreading false news and clarified Dharmendra’s health, and in addition added, “We request everyone to give our family privacy. Thank you for the prayers for Papa’s speedy recovery.”
Hema Malini’s Statement
Hema Malini, Dharmendra’s wife, was also quick to address the false news and expressed her disappointment via a statement she issued. It read, “What is happening is unforgivable! How can responsible channels spread false news about a person who is responding to treatment and is recovering? This is being extremely disrespectful and irresponsible. Please give due respect to the family and its need for privacy.”
She openly talked about the media’s irresponsible behavior in the matter. Having said this, Darmendar currently is admitted to Mumbai’s Breach Candy hospital.
Dharmendra is a big part of Indian cinema, with a career spanning close to six decades, and the rumors shook the nation, but after 6 decades he continues to remain active in films, with his next release being Ikkis, starring Agastya Nanda and Simar Bhatia, and directed by Sriram Raghavan, which is scheduled to release on December 25.
Not only this, but his legacy is hard to define in words; with numerous hits and a career as long as his that continues till now, it shows how much love of the audience he has.
