Today’s episode begins with Seher telling Usman that after thinking carefully she believes God has given everyone the right to education and she cannot give up that right just because someone tells her to.
Usman says that she is going to become Mufti’s wife and wants to encourage women toward worldly education. Seher replies that whether it is religious education or worldly education a woman must receive knowledge. Only then will she understand that she is not anyone’s property. She says a woman takes care of her entire family, raises children and handles responsibilities. If she is educated the whole family can progress.
Seher explain on her walima she cooked food for five hundred people. If she had not learned those skills she would not have been able to do it. She also tells how Husna survived a snake bite because she knew what to do. Seher says education is as important for living as breathing itself.
Usman Opposes Seher’s Views
Usman becomes angry and says Seher was not chosen for Mahid so that she could give speeches about education. She was chosen because she is Mahid’s wife and should help him spread the message of Islam.
He says he has already seen the consequences of making Gazala his daughter-in-law and does not want another rebellion in the family. He tells Mahid was matched with her a simple uneducated village girl so she could become an example of an ideal wife.
Kausar Questions Usman
Kausar says obedient women do not become examples they only suffer. She asks Usman what his ruling is on what Parvez did to her. Usman replies that Parvez trying to kill her was wrong and that is why she was given shelter in his home. He considers Parvez guilty.
Kausar asks why he wants Seher to become like her. She says she was an uneducated village woman who never had mental freedom which is why she kept suffering Parvez’s crimes. She asks why he wants other women to end up the same way.
Mahid Helps Insha
At the hospital a nurse asks Insha to pay the consultation fee. Insha says she has no money and offers her ring instead but the nurse refuses.
Mahid steps in and tells the nurse to start Insha’s treatment because he will pay the fee. He says she needs medical care. Insha questions why he is helping her and worries that he may ask for something in return later.
Mahid replies that helping people in need is his duty and she should not consider it a favor. The nurse informs Insha that Mahid Niyazi is the city’s future Mufti. Insha says she has suffered so many betrayals in life that she no longer has the courage to trust anyone. Mahid tells the nurse to begin her treatment.
Seher and Kausar Challenge Usman
The argument continues as Kausar asks why Usman does not want women to be educated. Usman says that because Parvez committed crimes does not mean all men are bad. He points to Seher’s marriage with Mahid as an example of a good man.
Seher asks whether a woman must first become a victim of a crime before she can receive justice. Otherwise women are forced to remain only as shadows of their fathers and husbands. Usman claims that women are weak and less intelligent.
Seher is shocked and says such beliefs were created by men not women. Usman asks whether she wants women to roam around demanding freedom. Seher replies that wanting an identity of her own is not wrong. She only wants to study. Usman insists that his family has already suffered one rebellion and he will not allow another.
Kausar Suggests Divorce
Kausar says Mahid has already divorced Seher then he should complete the process and set her free. The crowd immediately starts gossiping about how a mother can speak about her own daughter’s divorce.
Safia uses the opportunity to criticize Kausar. She says that any other woman would have fallen at Usman’s feet and begged forgiveness to save the daughter marriage but Kausar has ruined Seher’s life herself.
Kausar responds that she cannot allow Seher to suffer the same fate she did. Seher is only sixteen years old an age for education not for managing a household. Usman argues that according to religion marrying at sixteen is not wrong.
Seher counters that science considers sixteen too young for marriage and eighteen is regarded as the proper age. She says she can prove it and asks the crowd whether they have never seen children suffer because their mothers were married at a very young age.
Usman becomes furious and warns her to stop speaking. Tahir realizes the situation is getting out of control and decides to call Mahid.
Husna’s Plan Faces Trouble
At the hospital Husna thinks about everything she has done to keep Mahid away. Tahir calls Mahid but Mahid accidentally leaves his phone behind. A nurse answers the call and informs Tahir that Mahid is not there.
Insha Asks Mahid for Guidance
Later Insha asks Mahid what she should do next. Since he is going to become a Mufti she wants his advice. She says she managed to escape from home but does not know where to go now.
Mahid tells her that it is her life and her struggle so she must make her own decisions. Insha says she might spend her entire life repaying the person who saved her. Mahid warns her not to make life-changing decisions based on emotions. He asks where she will stay in such a big city.
Insha reveals that only her father and brother were part of her life. Her father drowned in addiction while her brother took advantage of the situation and sold her to an old man. Mahid is disturbed and says crimes against humanity are increasing everywhere.
Parvez Attacks Kausar’s Character
Usman says that many religious and respected men are present yet none of them have the courage to answer Seher and Kausar’s accusations. Kausar replies that when pressure is applied people may lie but truth remains true.
At that moment Parvez arrives. He mocks Kausar and claims that a liar cannot lecture others about the truth. He tells Usman now he understands Kausar and seher is a traitor and that giving her shelter was a mistake. Parvez insists that Kausar falsely accused him because she wanted to separate from him.
Kausar argues that the truth about him has already been exposed. Parvez then makes a shocking claim. He says Kausar secretly placed their second daughter Muneera in the house of her lover Fareed and is now planning to run away with him herself. He claims he has proof.
Parvez shows a video featuring Fareed and Kausar to Usman and the crowd.
Mahid Feels Something Is Wrong
At the hospital Insha prays while Mahid watches her. Mahid thinks that hearing her painful story would shake any human conscience. He wonders why he feels restless and why it seems that someone else needs his help more urgently.
Just then Tahir arrives and informs him that Seher is in serious trouble.
Seher Learns the Truth About Muneera
Seher says she is ashamed to call him her father. She urges everyone not to trust him because he is lying. Seher tells Kausar that she still searches for Muneera every day and does not even know whether she is alive.
Kausar suddenly reveals Seher Muneera is alive Amal is Muneera. Seher is left stunned. Parvez points out that Kausar never told Seher that Muneera was alive. He claims Kausar has finally been exposed.
He further accuses Kausar of deliberately jumping into the water tank to trap him. Parvez tells Usman that Kausar is trying to frame him so she can be with Fareed.Safia supports Parvez’s accusations.
Parvez Demands Punishment
Parvez demands that Usman punish Kausar so that no wife dares to treat her husband in such a way. He demands that her face be blackened and her hair be cut off as punishment.The crowd also begins demanding punishment for Kausar.
Meanwhile Mahid tells Tahir to stay with Insha and take responsibility for her care. He then rushes to help Seher. Parvez signals Safia who brings a pair of scissors.
Precap: Kausar asks Seher which path they have chosen and when it will finally end. Seher replies that somewhere ahead a destination must be waiting for them.
At that moment Mahid arrives and asks them to get into the car. He declares he will challenge Usman to a debate. Mahid vows to defeat Usman’s outdated beliefs and expose the mindset that suppresses women.
