Today’s episode begins with Mahid telling Seher that he wanted to talk to her because she is the only person with whom he can share his feelings about Gazala.
He says that Gazala was always lost in books which is why she built a library for herself. After Gazala’s death he believed that books had filled her mind with thoughts of freedom and made her leave her home, son and family for her lover.
Seher says that now he feels relieved because he knows the truth about Gazala. Mahid says that he realized that freedom did not mean that Gazala wanted to abandon her home. Freedom meant that she wanted to live in society with her head held high. He says that whenever Gazala talked about wanting wings to fly she was not talking about death but about living her life freely.
Seher tells him that recognizing a mistake and correcting it is real education. She says that wherever Gazala is she must be happy because the lessons she wanted him to learn from her books he finally understood.
Mahid says that this is why he does not want Seher to stop. He asks her to find her own opportunities and never let her ambitions become trapped within the limits of her life. He tells her not to keep any bitterness toward him and asks her to read Gazala’s books and move forward in life.
As Seher’s pen gets stuck in the Mahid’s outfit he gently removes it and leaves. Seher becomes emotional.
Husna Conspiracy
Usman asks Mahid to hurry because they are already late. Mahid says that he is checking the list of children once again to make sure no one’s name has been left out. He also asks the Servet whether the gift boxes have been prepared as he instructed
Meanwhile Husna and Haider secretly watch Mahid. Haider says that he doubts whether Husna is doing all this for his benefit or because she is supporting Mahid. Husna taunts him for being an ungrateful son and says that she has done everything for him yet he keeps criticizing her.
Haider replies that this is his battle and he wants to fight it in his own way.
Haider’s Hidden Plan
Mahid checks the gift boxes again. Usman asks why he is checking them repeatedly.
Mahid says that he wants this day to be special for the children.
Haider then asks if there is space inside the gift boxes for small bottles of Zamzam water. He says that he may not get a chance to teach the children but he wants to give them sacred water and will earn some blessings
Mahid agrees and asks Servet to place a bottle inside every gift box. Haider secretly thinks that the children and their fathers will remember his name whenever they see the bottles.
Husna wonders how distributing sacred water will help Haider win. She decides that she must do something because she cannot allow Mahid to attend the ceremony. She thinks that only Haider should receive all the attention.
Husna Injures Herself
Husna goes into the kitchen deliberately cuts her hand with a knife and screams for help. Mahid, Usman and Haider rush to her. Mahid asks what happened.
Husna lies and says that she was trying to cook for everyone when she accidentally got hurt. She says that the bleeding is serious and she may need to go to the hospital.
Usman says that Mahid cannot go to the hospital because of the celebration and asks Haider to take Husna. However Husna refuses and how Haider can go she demands Mahid tk take her to hospital
Mahid says Husna’s health is more important than the event. He takes her to the hospital and asks Haider to handle everything until he returns.
Seher Receives a Surprise
Amal waits for Kausar and Seher. As soon as they arrive media reporters surround Seher and congratulate her.
They ask how she feels after securing the third rank in the entire state in the Class 10 board examinations. Seher thinks there must be some mistake.
Amal tells her that she has secured third rank in the whole state and first rank in Lucknow. She congratulates her. The reporters ask Amal whether she is Seher’s sister.Amal replies that they can think of her that way.
When the reporters ask Seher how she achieved such a rank despite studying from home Seher gives all the credit to Kausar. She says that Kausar always trusted her.
Seher adds that she wants every student especially girls to remember that it does not matter where they study or what circumstances they face. What matters is moving forward and creating their own identity.
Usman Sees Seher’s Interview
At the madrasa Usman distributes gifts to the children. A man arrives and asks him to stop this drama. He accuses Usman of showing children the path of religion while his own daughter-in-law Seher is giving interviews about women’s education and freedom.
Usman warns him to watch his words and says that if he speaks against his daughter-in-law again he will be punished. The man then shows Seher’s interview video to Usman.
At the hospital Mahid also watches the interview and feels proud. he says that today Seher has completed the first step toward her dreams and congratulates her.
Usman Summons Seher
Usman orders Haider to call Seher to the madrasa immediately. He says that he wants to hear from Seher how she secured the third rank in the state.
Meanwhile at the hospital a nurse asks Mahid to bring Husna’s old medical reports. At the same time Haider calls Seher and tells her that Usman has ordered her to come to the madrasa at once.
Mahid Meets Insha
Outside the hospital Mahid meets Krishna and asks him to move his car. Mahid is shocked to see a young woman sitting inside Krishna’s cab.
Krishna explains she is insha and he saved her by risking his own life because her family was trying to force her into marriage. Mahid asks Insha to tell him her father’s and brother’s names so that he can deal with them.
However the Insha refuses and she says she does not want anything to do with her family. Krishna tells Mahid that he has to leave for Bareilly. He says that if his wife’s relatives see Insha in his taxi his marriage could be ger in problem.
He says that he has fulfilled his responsibility by rescuing her and now it is Mahid’s turn to protect her. The Insha says that she does not need anyone’s help and can fight her own battle. Krishna then leaves.
Usman Tests Seher
Seher and Kausar arrive at the madrasa.Tahir congratulates Seher for topping the exams and also say he is happy as Nazima for left Niyazi Manzil.
Usman asks Seher whether she really appeared for the Class 10 examination and secured the third rank. Seher replied that she worked hard for it.
Usman says that she must prove her education in front of everyone. Kausar thinks that she was wrong to believe Usman would never support Seher’s studies.
Usman then asks Haider to question Seher in English and tells Seher to write the answers in English. Haider asks several questions and Seher writes all the answers. After checking them Haider confirms that every answer is correct.
Seher asks Usman whether she has passed his test. Usman suddenly breaks her pen in anger. Seher is left shocked.
Usman Crushes Seher’s Dreams
Meanwhile at the madrasa Usman tells Seher that she is the daughter-in-law of the Niyazi family and that he never wants to see a pen in her hand again.
He orders her to forget that she ever appeared for the Class 10 examination or secured the third rank in the state. Usman warns her never to think about studying again because this is his final decision. Seher becomes emotional.
Usman says that at this moment she is not Seher but the daughter-in-law of the Niyazi family and everyone is listening to her he reminds her that she is Mahid’s wife and should guide other women according to what he believes is right.
Precap: Usman tells Seher that she is still the daughter-in-law of the Niyazi family and that she will stay at Niyazi Manzil not with Kausar.
Seher firmly replies that even if the entire world stands on one side and Kausar stands alone on the other she will still choose Kausar because Kausar is right. Seher declares that she does not need to become the daughter-in-law of the Niyazi family because being Kausar’s daughter is enough for her. Usman is shocked.
