Fans of the gritty Mirzapur universe are in for a soulful musical treat as one of the web series’ most beloved tracks is set to make a grand comeback on the big screen. The iconic song Vaaroon, which originally captured hearts in the first season of the smash-hit streaming show, is being officially recreated for the upcoming theatrical release Mirzapur: The Movie. Titled Vaaroon Forever, the reimagined version brings onboard playback powerhouse Shreya Ghoshal to join forces with the track’s original vocalist, Romy. Known for its deeply emotional Sufi melody and poetic feel, the original track was composed by Anand Bhaskar with lyrics written by Ginny Diwan, both of whom have returned to craft the fresh duet adaptation scheduled to release across digital platforms on August 18.
The news has sparked immense excitement among moviegoers and series loyalists eager to see how the web series’ iconic atmosphere translates into a larger-than-life cinematic experience. Produced jointly by Excel Entertainment and Amazon MGM Studios, Mirzapur: The Movie will bring back fan-favorite characters played by Pankaj Tripathi, Ali Fazal, and Divyenndu, alongside fresh casting additions like Jitendra Kumar as Bablu Pandit and Ravi Kishan in a key antagonistic role. Directed by Gurmmeet Singh and written by Puneet Krishna, the movie follows the dramatic events after the first season, promising the same high-stakes crime dynamic that made the original show a pop-culture phenomenon. Scheduled to hit theaters nationwide on September 4, 2026, the inclusion of Vaaroon Forever adds a rich musical touch to the highly anticipated crime thriller.
