The highly anticipated musical journey of Nitesh Tiwari’s cinematic epic Ramayana has officially kicked off today with the grand release of its first single, Jai Jai Ram. Released on the auspicious occasion of Ganesh Chaturthi, the track marks a powerful start to the film’s promotional campaign.

The composition strikes a delicate balance between a quiet personal prayer and a grand cinematic hymn, capturing the immense devotional depth of the epic while celebrating Lord Ram as a universal symbol of righteousness and guidance.

Visually, the newly released track offers fans their very first extended look into the rich world of Ramayana. The music video showcases stunning frames of Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Ram and Sai Pallavi as Goddess Sita, highlighting their divine chemistry and emotional connection.

Key visual sequences include Lord Ram lifting Lord Shiva’s bow, the sacred wedding of Ram and Sita, their grand floral welcome in Ayodhya, and poignant glimpses of their journey into exile. Additionally, the video captures touching moments such as Ravie Dubey as Lakshman exhibiting deep brotherly devotion, Adinath Kothare as Bharat during the emotional Bharat Milaap, and Lord Ram performing final rites for King Dashrath, emphasizing the core human values at the heart of the narrative.

The creative vision behind Jai Jai Ram focuses on simplicity and heartfelt devotion rather than complex theatricality. Lyricist Dr. Kumar Vishwas noted that the three simple words of the title carry an entire prayer, aiming to express the personal bond every devotee shares with Lord Ram as a protector and refuge.

Composer AR Rahman highlighted his intention to maintain the intimate purity of a chant while expanding it into a sweeping track, praising singers Arijit Singh and Shreya Ghoshal for bringing deep emotional nuances to the lyrics.

Producer Namit Malhotra added that launching the song on Ganesh Chaturthi felt ideal, as every meaningful endeavor begins with seeking Lord Ganesha’s blessings.

Directed by Nitesh Tiwari and produced by Prime Focus Studios alongside DNEG and Monster Mind Creations, Ramayana features a stellar cast including Yash as Ravana and Sunny Deol as Hanuman alongside Ranbir Kapoor and Sai Pallavi.

The visual spectacle, which blends high-end global filmmaking scale with deep cultural roots, is slated for a grand Diwali 2026 theatrical release. As the song Jai Jai Ram continues to resonate deeply with audiences across platforms, it sets a monumental tone for what is promised to be one of the biggest cinematic milestones in Indian cinema.
