Today’s episode begins with Rahi pulling Prem aside. Prem teasingly asks where she learned such playful gestures. Rahi replies with a smile that she learned it from her romantic husband. Prem jokes back warning her that someone might see them. When Rahi asks where he learned it from Prem laughs and says he learned it from his shy wife. The two grow close and enjoy a warm affectionate moment together.
Rahi jokingly admits that she has finally understood how many tantrums Prem puts up with. She laughs that she would have gotten bored quickly but Prem always patiently handles her moods. Prem replies that it is a wife’s job to show tantrums and a husband’s duty to handle them lovingly.
From a distance Prerna watches them together. Mahi comments that if love exists it should look like Prem and Rahi’s relationship. Prerna agrees saying love should feel exactly like that. However Mahi bitterly adds that maybe this happiness is just for show. She claims Prem married by choice so he has no option but to tolerate Rahi to save the marriage. She calls Rahi controlling and bossy suggesting no one can truly be happy with her.
Prerna firmly shuts Mahi down. She asks why Mahi is so jealous of Rahi when she is her own sister. She points out that Mahi constantly criticizes Rahi complains about her to Vasundhara and indulges in gossip. According to Prerna this reflects Mahi’s character not Rahi’s. She adds that Prem and Rahi genuinely love each other and are truly happy. Their relationship includes arguments, teasing, sulking, pampering, and even childishness but all of it is normal. They never let outsiders control their bond. Prerna advises Mahi and Gautam to learn something positive instead of burning with jealousy. Prerna walks away leaving Mahi and Gautam irritated.
Meanwhile Anupamaa is seen performing garba, joined by the Kothari family. Leela encourages Ansh to go and enjoy while she sits with Prarthana. Leela remarks that if she danced, Vasundhara would treat it like a competition. Prarthana insists that Leela should enjoy too and promises not to move from her place. Though hesitant Leela finally agrees and joins the garba.
Rajini calls Anupamaa who warmly wishes her a happy Makar Sankranti. Rajini apologizes for not replying earlier due to being busy. Anupamaa shows Prerna to Rajini who becomes emotional and happy seeing her. She tells Anupamaa that Prerna looks very content. Anupamaa replies that one day Prerna will be just as happy with her as well.
Bharti and Varun also join the call to wish Anupamaa. Anupamaa remarks that this is Bharti’s first festival after marriage making it extra special. She notices Bharti wearing jewelry . Bharti explains that Rajini had them made. Rajini adds that in their family daughters-in-law are gifted special jewelry on Makar Sankranti. Anupamaa thanks Rajini for loving Bharti so much. When Anupamaa says Prerna is also Rajini’s daughter Rajini looks uncomfortable.
After the call Rajini asks Bharti if she is truly happy. Bharti admits she is very happy and never imagined having a husband like Varun or a mother-in-law like Rajini. Though she was initially scared because Rajini is a politician her fear has faded. Rajini smiles saying not all politicians are the same.
Prarthana’s Sudden Accident
As everyone enjoys the garba tragedy strikes. Prarthana suddenly loses her balance falls and becomes unconscious. Anupamaa and the Kothari’s are shocked. A doctor examines Prarthana and assures everyone that she is stable.
Anupamaa breaks down praying that God protects Prarthana and her unborn baby. Leela blames herself for leaving Prarthana alone but Kinjal consoles her. Vasundhara harshly blames the Shah family saying they are incapable of caring for Prarthana. Meeta adds that Prarthana now understands why Parag wanted to stop her.
Gautam says Prarthana was in severe pain and they brought her to the Shah house only because it was closer. He insists that Prarthana herself wanted to come there and even in pain she kept calling Anupamaa’s name.
The doctor announces that Prarthana needs complete bed rest. She must avoid travel, bending or lifting anything. Gautam angrily declares that no one here can take care of Prarthana properly. Vasundhara calls the incident a mistake not an accident and fiercely accuses Leela of negligence.
Anupamaa finally speaks up stating that everyone was present when the accident happened. Blaming one person is unfair. She questions why Gautam who keeps talking about the baby did not keep an eye on Prarthana and why Vasundhara herself failed to do so. Anil supports Anupamaa saying they should thank God that nothing worse happened.
Parag admits the fault is his. He says he should not have given in to Prarthana’s insistence.
Parag Loses Control
Suddenly an enraged Parag throws his shoe at Ansh. Everyone is shocked. Anupamaa yells at Parag, asking how he can behave so violently with his son-in-law. Parag throws another shoe, claiming Ansh deserves it. Prem and Rahi restrain him as Anupamaa stands firmly in front of Ansh warning Parag not to touch him.
Anupamaa argues that Prarthana’s injury was accidental but Parag is intentionally attacking Ansh. She reminds him that relationships matter more than anger. She assures Parag that they will take full responsibility for Prarthana’s care. Parag challenges her asking why she did not stay back to look after Prarthana.
Anupamaa promises that she will personally take care of Prarthana until the doctor declares her completely safe.
Parag meets Prarthana and breaks down seeing her condition. His tears fall on her hands. In her semi-conscious state, Prarthana takes Ansh’s name and says she and the baby are safe as long as Anupamaa and Leela are near her. Parag becomes emotional.
He tells Anupamaa that he trusts her now but warns her to remember her promise. He declares that if anything happens to Prarthana or the baby he will take her and the child back home and no one not even God will stop him. Anupamaa promises she will never break his trust.
Precap : Anupamaa offers bhog to God and dances for Rani’s happiness but the prasad falls. Preet calls and informs her that the builder has started demolishing Chawl. Prem, Rahi, Prerna, and Anupamaa rush to Mumbai. Anupamaa stands in front of the JCB to stop the demolition and is shocked to see Rajini and Parag there.
