In a move that has brought much-needed relief to fans and the film fraternity, actress Chitrangda Singh has shared a positive update regarding the health of legendary screenwriter Salim Khan. The veteran writer, who is the father of Bollywood superstar Salman Khan, was admitted to Lilavati Hospital earlier this week.
Speaking during a recent media interaction with IANS, Chitrangda, who is currently working alongside Salman Khan in the upcoming film Battle of Galwan, offered a reassuring message. “He’s doing very well. I wish him all the best and good health,” she stated, effectively quelling some of the more alarmist rumors circulating on social media.
The Medical Situation
Salim Khan, 90, was rushed to the Bandra-based hospital on the morning of February 17, 2026. According to medical reports from the hospital’s treating physician, Dr. Jalil Parkar, the veteran writer suffered a minimal brain hemorrhage accompanied by a spike in blood pressure.
While initial reports suggested a critical condition, Dr. Parkar clarified that the use of a ventilator was a “safeguard” to conduct necessary investigations and ensure stability, rather than a sign of a life-threatening decline.
On Wednesday, Mr. Khan successfully underwent a DSA (Digital Subtraction Angiography) procedure, a specialized imaging technique used to visualize blood vessels, which was performed without the need for invasive surgery.
Despite the public interest, the Khan family has now requested privacy. Recent reports indicate that Salman Khan’s family has instructed hospital staff to refrain from issuing further public bulletins, preferring to keep the recovery process private as the 90-year-old icon continues his recuperation in the ICU.
