Wheel of Fortune unexpectedly turned into a touching moment when Akshay Kumar revisited fond memories of his mother.
The moment unfolded during an interaction with contestants Vidhi Bharani, Riwaj Ghimire, and Nilam Rajput. When Vidhi casually mentioned that she belongs to a Sindhi family Akshay instantly reacted with warmth expressing how deeply he admires the Sindhi language.
That simple remark led to a hilarious anecdote from his past. Akshay recalled calling a Sindhi friend at home only to be momentarily stunned when the friend’s mother said “Soo ya pada hai, uthaun uss ko.”Misunderstanding it as “mara pada hai,” Akshay dramatically described how panic set in leaving the audience in splits as he reenacted the confusion.
The laughter soon gave way to nostalgia as Akshay shared a more personal memory. He revealed that his mother was fluent in Sindhi and shared close friendships within the community. He fondly remembered her spending evenings playing cards with her Sindhi friends a memory that visibly softened the atmosphere on set.
Adding a sweet touch to the moment, Vidhi asked if she could say something in Sindhi on stage. She then said “Mokhe taam se jaam pyaar aa” explaining that it meant “I love you” drawing smiles from everyone present.
Keeping the mood playful Akshay turned to a woman in the audience and invited her to say “I love you” in Marwadi. When she shyly struggled he teased her with his trademark wit joking that it seemed like she didn’t say it often triggering another round of laughter. Moments like these are what make Wheel of Fortune more than just a game show offering laughter memories and heartfelt connections.
