The wait for “vintage” Bollywood comedy is finally over. Marking a monumental reunion 14 years in the making, superstar Akshay Kumar and legendary director Priyadarshan have officially kickstarted the countdown to their upcoming horror-comedy, Bhooth Bangla, with the release of its first track, “Ram Ji Aake Bhala Karenge.”
Released today, February 26, 2026, the high-energy song has instantly set social media ablaze, with fans hailing it as the spiritual successor to the duo’s 2007 cult hit “Hare Krishna Hare Ram” from Bhool Bhulaiyaa.
A Nostalgic Blast from the Past
The four-minute music video is a colorful, chaotic riot that features Akshay Kumar in what fans are calling “peak entertainer mode.” In the video, Akshay is seen navigating a sprawling, eerie mansion filled with an assortment of eccentric ghosts.
Displaying his trademark physical comedy, Akshay’s character hilariously attempts to “organize” his supernatural roommates—sorting them by height, gender, and even color—all while pleading with the heavens for a little intervention. The lyrics, “Bhooth aaya padho chalisa re,” perfectly encapsulate the film’s blend of light-hearted spirituality and slapstick humor.
The Powerhouse Creative Team
The song’s infectious energy is fueled by a collaboration of industry heavyweights:
Music Composer: The hit-maker Pritam, returning to the horror-comedy genre. Vocals: A melodic yet peppy performance by Armaan Malik and Aarvan (Dev Arijit).
Rap: A contemporary twist provided by Mellow D. Lyrics: Penned by the veteran Kumaar. Choreography: Designed by Ganesh Acharya, emphasizing over-the-top movements and infectious hook steps.
Behind the Scenes: A Three-Day Deal
During a recent media interaction, producer Ektaa Kapoor shared the “magical” story of how the project came together. Kapoor revealed that when the script was first presented to Akshay Kumar, he agreed almost instantly.
“The film is vintage Priyadarshan and Akshay sir,” Kapoor stated. “When we told Akshay we wanted Priyadarshan to direct, he didn’t waste a second. Priyan sir requested a few minor script changes to fit his style, and once those were locked, the entire team was on board within just three days.”
