In a move that bridges the gap between classic Bollywood masala and modern-day crime drama, director Gurmmeet Singh is reportedly recreating the magic of “Mehbooba Mehbooba” for the big-screen adaptation of Mirzapur. While the original featured the iconic Helen and Amjad Khan, this new rendition puts Sonal Chauhan at the center of a desert-themed spectacle.
A Desert Rendezvous in Jodhpur
The sequence was recently wrapped up in Jodhpur, where the production team spent three intense nights filming amidst the sand dunes. Sources close to the project reveal that the setting is designed to feel like a “rural bar” under the stars. Tents were erected across the desert to create an authentic, rustic atmosphere that mirrors the lawless yet celebratory spirit of the Tripathi empire.
Kaleen Bhaiya Shakes a Leg
Perhaps the most surprising detail is the involvement of the “OG” cast. While the song belongs to Sonal Chauhan, she won’t be dancing alone for long. Reports suggest that Pankaj Tripathi (Kaleen Bhaiya), Ali Fazal (Guddu Pandit), and Divyenndu (Munna Bhaiya) all join the revelry.
