The original Drishyam franchise was created in Malayalam starring Mohanlal, and the Hindi versions were adapted from it.
However, Ajay clarified that the third installment of the Hindi franchise takes a completely independent route with a brand-new narrative that is vastly different from the Malayalam vision.
